Thing is... Can understand us being one of the last three matches as it was one of the best results but along with Gillingham / MK Dons which were the other two great results, include those in the final three to be shown rather than one and two other random matches
Watched it from start to finish for the first & last time. Incredibly poor presentation/style and mixing up Championship, L1/L2 is mad! And yes- the usual 15 seconds for us. Made the old BBC FLS (without commercials) look great. Next time will record and fast forward - that's all its worth. And no HD!!

There's only so much you can do to reinvent the football TV format. Like Andy's Tactics Truck, and from wardrobe to set design, everything they came up with was pitiful.
that must rank as the worst football highlights show of all time, and that's not because we had a few seconds at the end but because the format, the presenters and the use of the audience was rubbish
That was like one of those nightmare times where you just long for life to return to crappy normality. Come back, Manish, please. All is forgiven, Leroy. Steve, you are a genius of punditry, your every utterance poetry.
In all fairness, TV tonight has just looked up! stumbled on the Helen Mirren program now on BBC2. Some absolutely great shots of her early 20's bod and hopefully more of it later on as well... fuck football shows!
But they were being stylish and had them on top of top of their heads, I suppose it was too hot for jumpers over the shoulder, that would have looked silly. Actually I think I saw one or two in the QPR end today.
Now see how slick and better motd is. I feel like the time I watch the godfather trilogy in reverse. From utter horseshit to familiar genius.
If you watch it in reverse does the bullet come out of Mo Green's eye, they replace the toolbooth glass, and they open the door and welcome Faye to join in with the family meeting?
Let's look at the first championship table!! Mk dons top wow amazing good on them hmm charlton 2nd after beating QPR!! no mention of the fact they have a £15 million rated England striker playing for them still and that he didn't get a look in! Relegation candidates really ever !! Channel 5 hate us too then oh well
Can anyone remember seeing a worse football show - anywhere in the world - than the rubbish on Channel 5? The lesson is to record it and only watch the 15 seconds of Charlton highlights. We're not well served by the technology here: trawling through the mountains of rubbish to find a 15-second piece is not easy. Especially when they put Championship games at the end so that people can't go off and hang themselves before the end of the programme.
I've got a competitor for it. About three years ago I stumbled across a game from North Korea which did my head in. The cameras didn't keep up with the ball most of the time, so it was like a radio commentary. I also thought it was an empty stadium until I realised it was a packed ground with everyone wearing uniform and sitting perfectly still. Really creeped out by that!
Having said that, the presenters were vastly more professional and easier to understand than the Channel 5 show. I don't understand any Korean but you could get the gist of what they were saying, and for all I know it was intelligent comment. So, perhaps I can forgive not seeing any football in the penalty areas and being genuinely frightened by the crowd. If only Charlton were playing in North Korea!
I honestly wouldn't mind if they showed div 2, div 1, goals then short highlights of championship games in that order. Probably should beiin that order, save best to last an all that, at least you know where stand when you wanna sky plus it.

At least I didn't blink after waiting all that time
#carefulwhatyouwishfor.
"It definitely crossed the line - the highlights on Channel 5 will prove it"
Thankfully the clever hi-tec analysis from the several camera angles proved that some bint thought it was a goal.
It's got to be a joke !
