Sounds like Kashi did well. I only hope that doesn't inspire Guy to push Cousins out onto the left to accommodate those two and Ba. Great to have a bit of competition in the squad

With Harriott injured, Bulot now playing elsewhere, Eagles not retained and Reagan-Cook so young and now converted to a right back, until we sign James Henry/A.N.Other, I would not be at all surprised if JC plays the first part of the season on the left.
Ran out of puff second half. Bolton pressed a lot higher and they looked the better team after the break. Subs didn't really help the shape. Not sure any of them will be pushing for a start against QPR. Lots of positives from first half though. JBG is really too good for the championship.
Just back. Bolton much improved after the break. Looked quick on the counter attack, not much else. Cebellos and berdych looked very attacking options. Cebellos particularly looked good and could well be the solution to the left sided problems. Lost a bit of intensity and bite with both kashi and cousins going off. Think we have a wealth of good options in the middle. Shame to see Jordan on the left but probably the best option available with some of the new players still getting up to speed. Diarra looked a bit lost at the back. RCC had a fine game but is no RB. Overall really impressed. Looks like an improvement over last year, with a much better balanced team.
just home from the friendly fair result 2-2 in the first half both Watt and the big fella should have scored, we then let in a soft goal from a free kick on our left, ball floated in all our defenders missed and one of theirs headed it into the far corner, Watt then equalised with a bulldozing run through and slotted passed their goalie, I was about level and it might just might have been offside. Second half our lot were asleep and let their substitute run right through our midfield and defence to score but again Tony got us level, after that with all the subs it was hard to know who was doing what to whom but Bolton had the better chances and Pope pulled off one very good save. Pope - kicking and throwing out good not at fault for the goals but a long shot bounced about 6 feet out of his midriff which could have been dangerous if a Bolton player had been near but also a very good diving save to his right. Charles-Cook - competent and linked up well with Gud'sn Fox - reasonable defending and good going forward with some good crosses Bauer & Diarra - both at fault for 1st goal good on the ball played forward at times but Diarra a bit slow Gudmunssson - basically on the right but seemed to have a roving commission, same as usual but his shooting boots need tuning Ba & Kashi - liked them both, competent and competitive Cousins - on the left, linked will with Fox and had a running battle with Laurie Wilson but got clogged, don't think it was a bad injury as he played on OK, possibly subbed as a precaution Makienmok - good flick ons and also could pass with his feet, a constant threat and worry to their defence, liked him Watt - looks a bit portly but used his weight to good effect Sarr - looked very competent and will make a good partner for Bauer
We looked the slicker side with some good passing movement but the defence let us down with the 2 goals.
Good performance and result by the sound of it...but where are all the Northern Addicks?! Used to get bigger support at friendlies in Scotland 20+ years ago...
I was at the game last night and the standout player in the first half was Ahmed Kashi. Incredibly energetic player. Playing in front of the back four, picking the ball up from them and passing intelligently long and short. He tackled well and also supported some attacks. If he carries on like this he will become a favorite. Overall we looked very fluid, especially in the first half with some lovely passing and movement. Bergdich and Ceballos looked to have some skill and attacking intent, although it was more difficult to assess their performance as we were not controlling the game after Kashi and Cousins were subbed. Understanding in defence needs to improve, but hopefully this will come with gametime. If we continue to play with this intent and skill I am optimistic for the season.
Plenty of positives and a couple of shakey moments too... Bauer looked nervey and not very composed ditto pope .. Everyone else looked thought diarra was outstanding personally love the way Luzon had us passing the ball short bursts from midfield then switching play. Can see why Luzon was seen keen to get and hold up merchant in like makienok but just fear heay lack the touch class of class I hope I'm wrong
No they were on the piss in the afternoon and wore crocs instead of football boots , still a good performance from us though even if they were larking about .
We were by far the better side in the first half and controlled the midfield with Ba and Kashi working well together. Subbing Kashi, Bauer and Fox tilted the game Boltons way and they finished the stronger. I thought Charles-Cook had a great game and had a good understanding with Gudmundsson when going forward.
We certainly didn't look like a team of strangers and I thought we performed as a more cohesive unit than Bolton.

Took over six hours to get here, now have four hours or so on the journey home!
Overall, very pleasing as stated on air.
Luzon hoping for three players over the next few weeks.
Lots of positives from first half though. JBG is really too good for the championship.

Did Bolton take it seriously? Haven't a clue!
