Huddersfield won't just have watched videos of his good bits. They will have watched him a lot over recent seasons; probably in quite a few of the northern away games and of course, in numerous TV games. If you want a team that play out effectively from the back and you need an affordable left-footer, with height, then you go for Sarr. If he gets a full season of 1st XI starts, then who knows, he might develop even further.

Naby was a far better player in the last years of his contact that he was at first. Still the odd moment of madness but he left in credit and he seemed a gentle giant.
Ryan Inniss is a scary beast and TBH is probably more suited to the "take no prisoners" of the mediocre League 1.
I saw Naby walking through Bexleyheath with the rest of the Huddersfield players this morning - the moment got to me a bit and I couldn’t help shouting Naby, Naby Sarr out the window at him as loud as I could and beeping my horn lots. I was so excited that I turned around at the roundabout to drive past him and do it again. I’m pleased to confirm that he looked just as happy as me by it all (albeit slightly bewildered) and I’m thinking that he brought that into his performance today. You’re welcome Huddersfield fans.
This reminds me when I was in Sidcup and saw our manager Chris Powell walking towards me. I was so surprised I shouted out Chrissy Powell far too loud, which really made him laugh. If I was him I'd have turned and run, but he carried on and we had a good old chat. I love Chrissy Powell.

Why let it go...we are in League 1 and he is in the Championship. Same with Simon Francis who went on to have a successful career in the Premiership and Championship. There are others our fans have scape goats too. Same result every time. They go to a better team

I get Francis and I get Sarr but I would have to draw the line at Bogle playing at a higher level. He's 28 now, scored 5 goals in 34 appearances at that level and no one wanted him this season 'til we stepped in. In 13 appearances for us he has scored a tap in from two yards and fallen over the ball for another.

The flipside of that, of course, is that most of the time, both he and Huddersfield are good
A fairly typical performance, fairly calm and assured playing the ball around at the back, the odd probing pass forward. Then a complete rabbit in the headlights moment where instead of just hoofing it he inexplicably decided to play it straight to the onrushing forward which nearly led to a goal. Then later on he makes a lame challenge and ended up hitting his own post.

Standard Sarr.
Sarr was a quality player, and by that I mean he had a stupendous left peg. His issue, like so many who don't quite make it at the Premier/Championship level is the footballing brain side, he just doesn't have that, too often his decision making is poor, some things you just can't teach, you've either got it or you haven't.
You get other players who have the footballing brain but not quite the ability to back that up. And others who have it all. Jackson was one who absolutely had the footballing brain, decent ability as well just probably not quite enough (and pace) for the premier league.
Thats why Sarr was either genius or villain. I'll always remember him fondly though, he was good for us overall and i'll remember more good times than bad. And to be fair he always put in the effort in my view. I'd have him back in a heart beat.
Watched 5 mins of the Cov v Hudds game and in that time Sarr hit two brilliant cross field balls to the winger's feet. He didn't need half hour to think about it...just pinged it.

Yeah, Naby's a baller.
It's when he hesitates that he sometimes panics. And then he knows he's got a mistake in him. And that's his problem.
I'm a big fan of us playing 3 at the back with Naby as the left centre back as it gives him license to go forward with the ball, knowing there is a central CB there to protect him and a wing back who can also drop back to cover. I can forgive him a few defensive howlers when he can make passes like his glorious assist for Taylor's winner at Forest, especially as once Gallagher and Leko went we were really short of creativity

For the record Bogle has 2 goals, the first was not a tap in and 3 assists. He is top of the assists with 3 and our 3rd top scorer with 2 He only gets to play half a game so considering he arrived late and unfit that is a good record. Aneke has a few tap ins this year but nobody is complaining about those.
It's like some people were taking the piss out of Bogle at Swindon, because "he fell over his own feet" and "somehow luckily" the ball ended up in the net.
When you watch the highlights again, you see that he actually did very well ....... good movement to go round the keeper, who then body checked Bogle, causing him to stumble - and while falling, actually getting a decisive touch to roll the ball into the empty net.
If he hadn't scored, it was a clear penalty.
But of course that's not what the Bogle scapegoaters want to hear. Mind you, less said about his next chance, the better!
The stumble was the pathetic bit, the finish itself was good. He tapped it with his trailing leg with clear intent to knock it in.
The goal became more laughable with his awful miss and extremely awful range shots thereafter. He suddenly had the confidence to try some of the shots we've been begging for him to take on.
I've said a few times now, I would not be looking to offload him any time soon.
