Has anyone seen him play at Welling? RB or CB? Is he likely to be with us next year? Is he getting his mojo back. Given that Gomez is likely to be 1st choice in centre next year with Wilson likely to leave, who could be cover for Solly? My only other candidate would be THD who while predominately left sided, I believe has played on right several times for the youths.
Fortunately, Welling didn't lose to Alfreton, who are a place below them in the relegation position. Welling are in a reasonable position to survive. Alfreton's last game is away against second place, Bristol Rovers who need to win to get a chance of automatic promotion. Welling's last game is at home to Southport who are a place and 3 points above them. Due to better goal difference than Alfreton. a draw will probably be enough. That will be enough for Southport too.
A pity, Harry Osbourne's last game of the season (and the loan) is a sending off. Hopefully, he has contributed to survival as Welling were deep in trouble before he arrived. All good experience in any case.
