I was watching the press conference yesterday and it was absolute rubbish. The inquiry was started 6 months ago and they have done very little it seems.
Information was provided to the team on a voluntary basis and when asked what happened if a party refused information Lord Stevens did not say he could arrest them or force information out of them etc.
Scudamore was also asked by a reporter to put a ballpark figure on how much dodgy money had been passed around and he refused to answer. They must have an idea on the type of figures, he couldn't even say "hundreds of thousands" etc.
To make the investigation worthwhile they need some hard evidence and get the authorities involved and bring civil and/or criminal action against people.
There will be nothing coming out of this investigation and its a waste of time and money (our money), much like the BBC investigation.
Nothing is likely to happen until that VAT and TAX man start looking into it as they will have a bit more weight behind them than this investigation, which is not much more than an internal investigation.
