going down, going down, going down...

piece in todays times says readings ground, built on a former landfill site, has sunk 10 inches in some places...and then there's pompeys proposed new stadium, to be built on a platform in the sea...sorry, formative years watching thunderbirds and even i can tell them the bleeding obvious...

  • It's all a smoke screen. Pompey haven't even put in a planning application and there is no way I can see them being given permission in that location. Mind you if it did sink into the sea at least the whole crowd would get wet not just us at the Milton End at Fratton Park. That's KRAP NOTT ARF if you reverse it, how apt. Hope they get a new ground but it won't be happening on the dockyard site.
  • & it comes with a figure of £600m (ashburton grove cost £390m) for a stadium to accomodate 36k fans ? ? ?
  • @bc: When you say smokescreen, smokescreen for what? Why are they parading this dockyard site design around?
