  • Seems pretty decent from set pieces too
  • Could be a good signing although he's had more comebacks than the Eagles

Rather than the Marriott in Bexleyheath, I was wondering if he'll be staying at The Hotel California.

    Plenty of room, apparently.
  • must be desperado to sign for us

    take it easy Henry
  • Eagles must be a better better to take set pieces than JBG, who's set plays are pretty hopeless. You can imagine for tough away matches playing JBG in a No 10 free role behind a lone striker, with Eagles on the right. Next Tuesday at Derby might be One of These Nights...

Some cracking goals in that video matched only by the naffness of some of the celebrations. Still, it'll be good to have another player who can carry the ball through midfield with pace and a right footed option for set pieces too.

    The Marriott's no Hotel California.

    Cousins will love that.....!

I'd have thought Eagles would be more likely to play wide right, with JBG centrally. Or maybe (god forbid) our players can swap positions, total football and all that!

Cousins won't mind doing the donkey work in midfield, as he's the New Kid in Town...

  • There's doing the donkey work and there's hanging him out to dry. If we're chasing a goal with 10 mins left maybe... otherwise it's far too attacking and we'd get turned over.
  • Interesting signing, has the potential to be a very good signing. Really hope he doesn't disappoint.

Think positive, and good things will happen..... I hope :-0

IF they went with that shape I can't see Eagles going straight into the team. Cousins will either get put out wide and JBG up front or in the attacking role but Buyens will probably play the defensive part of the job. Luzon has tinkered with the exact personnel but there has almost always been at least one defensively minded midfielder in every pick and Buyens at least has the advantage of experience.

Yeah, like that rubbish free kick he took against Blacburn.
  • 'Seagulls,seagulls seagulls' for me.
  • Quality player so let's hope he has something left in the tank.

I believe Curbs has been a fan of Eagles for a number of years and it wasn't that long ago Curbs was praising Eagles when on SKY TV as a pundit.
What Curbs likes, I'm a follower.

On a droll note - Eagles should go down well at Sparrows Lane.

But then would it be much different from having Buyens in central midfield? He had one of his better (half) games on Saturday, but he hardly provides a lot of defensive cover

  • Eagles and Gudmundsson on the wings with Watt and Vetokele up front could potentially be a deadly combination... Goal machines!!

Obviously Bulot should keep his place for now though. Still very pleased with this signing.

If Cousins loses his place on the left and goes back into the centre I'll be livid. It's working so well for him on the left

What if he decides to check out any time?

But he will never be able to leave
  • What's not to like.
Pisses all over the likes of Harriott in ability.
We now have a batch of forwards; Vetokele, Watt, Guddy, Eagles who can maybe frighten a few defences

There's a new kid in town but Guy will take it to the limit if he starts with all four. Whilst he may be brave one of these nights, I think he will take it easy at Wigan else it could be heartache tonight.

It could work out in the long run (I can't tell you why) but this is not the time to live life in the fast lane (after all, whoever he leaves out will get over it and have a peaceful easy feeling on the bench).

The only semi sane person who picks teams like that is Garth Crooks on the BBC website - that'd be suicide even on Football Manager.

We'll be fucked playing 6 a side with Cousins as rush goalie

Can't help but read that in the style of Russell Grant doing astrology predictions for the official programme
  • Where's all the 2 yard tap ins in front of a man and his dog.

All joking aside, that's a pwoppa youtube vid.

The contract negotiation with Katrien went well. She couldn't hide her Lying Eyes.

Very pleased with this signing. Welcome Chrissy!
  • Careful with all this positivity you will give yourself a nose bleed.
