I'm not being sarcastic ...I mean it. Regardless of whether or not I like what is going on, this is my club and I will continue to attend. I've being going since the 60's and seen lots of shit and dross and poor management or ownership.
But it won't stop me going ...unless I am provided with a valid reason for not attending that would bring something positive to the club, I will stay.
After being a season ticket since at least since about 1987 that's it. That is me no more. I am finished. I am not prepared to pay anymore of my hard earned cashed to this owner.
Bye then, threads like this are beginning to piss me off
So what is the result of all the player shenanigans, and the head coach malarkey since we joined the network? That our support is expected whatever the results? I am Guy Luzon's blood brother, I like to win and I don't like to lose, and I expect this much wiser than me network to deliver wins. FFS, hoping for better than this is beginning to feel as wrong as Oliver Twist asking for a second bowl of gruel in the eyes of some fans here, and some fans are speaking like Mr Bumble's minions if we dare be unhappy with a sodding defeat.
People like Rudders have no doubt seen countless defeats. But they had an affinity with the club and felt part of it.

Duchatalet is tearing that up.
Yep, we need Jiminez and Slater back.
Does it have to be either/or? Frankly, I'm sick of having club owners only because they want to make money out of us. And it's not just at our club either. Football stopped being what it used to be when it ceased being something for the community and started being a rich man's play thing.
Some of the responses to Rudders22 are cheap and rude. Here's a fan of many years' standing that's totally hacked off - and with very good reason - yet he's derided by some as if he's a nobody. I appreciate that some people will keep supporting the club come-what-may - and good luck to them for that. But there are plenty others who have had enough and fell very badly let down. It would a much nicer Forum if the sniping would cease. It's difficult enough as things are without Addicks trying score points against each other.

People saying the players do not care, but it sounded today like a lot of effort, I will be interested in the player scores given by those supporters that went

Whilst not there biggest fans, before their Cash worries they did manage to get us out of league 1. The Belgian seems intent on putting us back there!
Rudders is someone you would have seen EVERYWHERE following Charlton through rain or shine over the years. I doubt there are no more than a handful on here that would match his travels over the years.
This is what i don't think a lot of people are grasping, this is now starting to eat into 'die hards' a lot more than is obvious.
Morale amongst fans is probably the lowest I've known it to be in a long time. This guy said he's been coming since 87. So he joined when we were probably at our lowest ebb as a club. After having seen us fight so hard to get back to the Valley, stabilise the club and push onto to have a run of years in the Prem, what's going on today is a real body blow.
We haven't won in 13 now (14 if you include the cup). It may be that we were never going to get something today and we had a bit of fight, but every defeat is hurting at the moment.
I just think today might be the straw that broke the Camel's back for Rudders. I hope he changes his mind like I hope all the others who have posted they have had enough do as well.
I'm sure people can say there have been worst times etc and this part and parcel of football, but I first remember going as a 6yr old in 88. In the almost 30 years I've been going I've never been as down as I have been tonight.
I don't see enough quality in that squad to turn it round, I only see us staying up if Blackpool, Millwall and Wigan continue to lose.
Despite this, like many others I'll be back there on Tuesday, up for it and with that hope I have before every game.

Why read them then??
To see who it was this time
And the reason to pipe up then ??
Because I wanted to, problem?
When there is no relevance to what you are saying and just digging people out then yea maybe there is.
People are complaining about these threads being started. What about the ones slipping away silently? Are you alright with that as well? We don't know how many of them there are.
I now spend my Saturdays happily in a zoo and for my remaining home games I'm using Tangoflash's season ticket. I gave him some money as a thank you, rather that than Roland and the network getting my cash. Tragically Millwall will get more of my wages before the end of the season and it really, really pains me to say that.
To those who want to go and not come again. Bye, close the door on your way out. Some of us are Charlton through and through, we will be here to see you when you sneak back in.
Anything that publicises fans' dismay with what has happened to CAFC is no bad thing, in my opinion. It's a good indicator of how people are feeling. Whilst walking away silently will come to the bean counters' attention before too long, announcing one's displeasure on here may come to management's attention all the sooner. An Addick contacted BBC London a little earlier and their message - RD, you're killing our club and I want you to go - was heard all over London. Sometimes one has to cast the stone to make the water ripple.

As I said on the Jimmy Stone thread, they are the real heart of the club that is being ripped out.

While I'd never start a thread about no longer going to games, even if that was a decision I had made (which it isn't), I can see why so many are disillusioned. For me, it's not even that we're losing. People don't support Charlton because they expect us to win every week - that's not what we do.
People support Charlton because it's their local a team, a club we all have close ties with, and a club whose existence was secured in the most unorthodox way by thousands of fans who fought so hard to make it happen.
What we have now is not Charlton. It's one persons play thing, an experiment. I don't recognise my own club any more. I can deal with getting beaten most weeks as long as the players give their all. I struggle to deal with watching the club I've followed for more than two decades transform into a soulless, poisonous outfit with familiar faces seemingly departing on a near-weekly basis. F off Roland, and take your CEO with you. Both hopelessly out of their depth. And people thought Bob was the problem!
Summed up well, Roland the rat doesn't give a toss if we get relegated as long as we can produce half decent players to move onto standard leige and for them to be sold for a nice number.

Bit like 99.9% of the posts on this site at the moment then

Just walking away doesn't do it.

If you aren't fair enough, but posting it up is inviting harsh words imo.
I may be well off the mark but I increasingly see these threads as attention seeking.

The divide of fans is not going to rid cafc of RD
I hope all those no longer going attend the meeting and try to find a solution to move him off.
