Walking Football

I've just seen on South Today that the first Walking Football Championship took place down in Brighton today. Brighton, Charlton, Palace and Pompey took part. The rules of football apply, with one exception. Nobody is allowed to run. As the name implies, the game is played by walking only. Running is prohibited.

Charlton fielded their first team for the event and nobody noticed.

The tournament was won by Palace.

Walking football national comp with area knock out round starts soon; as does the FA peoples cup - which has a walking football section as well.

Play while you can, there are clubs all over the place and it is groqing fast. My club has players from 12 to 62 and a few ladies as well.
