If we weren't such a negative side ( who ever is the head coach) I would have sent on Aherne-Grant for Harriott with 20 mins to go instead of playing the flat back 7 as soon as we scored against Rotherham. I did mention Kag to play as one of the TWO strikers to replace either tony or Igor in the last 20 minutes of the games at home on another thread, before this u21 game kicked off tonight. (No crystal ball used )
Kag with get a game as a lone striker at boro (i hope this is a joke)
Best news of the day, this result - helps to put all the other nonsense we've had to put up with in perspective.
Things will come good again for our club - just a matter of time.
Know what you mean Blucher even if others don't...
At First Team level we may be a mess but our Youth Teams still continue to impress and in yesterdays team Karlan Ahearne-Grant we DO have a kid who is a brilliant talent and just because he hasn't scored or impressed massively for the Senior team dont mean squat, even further down the line we have the U18s who were unlucky to lose in the FA Youth Cup.
A few years ago we had Chris Solly.. Jonjo Shelvey.. Carl Jenkinson.. Scott Wagstaff.. Rob Elliot all break through around the same time, three of which are now in the Premier League, one is now Vice-Captain at Charlton and one is playing at a lower level yet who helped us have our greatest ever season when we won League One.
Then we've had Jordan Cousins.. Diego Poyet.. Morgan Fox.. Nick Pope.. Joe Pigott.. Callum Harriott.. Harry Lennon all break through in the last two seasons to play their part in helping us to survive relegation from the Championship, and when you look at those numbers you have to wonder we've peaked in terms of bringing kids through and that we're going to go through a lull in terms of our Youth.
Yet once again, although there has been a lack of transfer activity you've seen the kids utilised to good effect once more.. Joe Gomez and Karlan Ahearne-Grant have both made their mark on the First Team and there is more... Tarieq Holmes-Dennis.. Archie Edwards.. Dimitar Mitov.. George Lapslie, in truth there appears no end to our production line at the moment.
Yes it may only have been a win against Maidstone but it was a Maidstone team that had beaten Conference Level; Welling and League One Level; Stevenage... Regardless of the opposition it was a great bit of experience for the kids and in the darkness that some view the First Team now, these kids certainly provide the light!!
Look out for Ademola Lookman, who plays for the Under 18s. He is a quick player who can score goals for fun. He can play centrally or wide. He scored the best goal I have seen this season at the training ground.

Won 7-1 with Michael Smith running riot with 5 goals.
Seeing any CAFC side score some goals is a joy.
Margate and Gills in the other semi.
Or what i want CAFC V the Scally wags.
is that the same Michael Smith who is now banging them in for Swindon .........
Dago is a left back from Auxerre . Monlouis a midfielder from Stoke.

we sent him on loan to various clubs in 1 +2 and he scored goals.
Then we sell him at the same time as Yann for what 200k.
Without giving him another chance ?
