Goal Sponsor

I don't know how long we've had one as we've not scored for a while but it flashed up on the big screen after Cousins put us ahead.

Didn't it say TW Joiners? Pity for them that Tony Watt didn't score on his debut, that would have been ideal.
  • Hope they're not on a pay per game or season contract
  • Hope this is not a step nearer goal music. That wi finish off a lot of the waverers!
  • TW Carpentry were also match sponsors.
According to the sponsors' page in the programme TW stands for Tom Williams - so presumably just a (very?) small business?
BTW, to find out they were match sponsors in the Mendonca special, you had to turn to the back outside cover and look at the very small print at the bottom right hand corner. People really need to get more value from the club for their money.
  • What? £200 to sponsor the first Charlton corner to reach the first opposition defender? Extortionate!

Presumably, they appreciated the good finish by Cousins, although they would have preferred to see a brace. However, they might be concerned about the spirit level.

Nail on the head, you might say.

Now all we need is some French Polish.... in fact any bloody nationality would do!

Well, I never saw that coming.

  • Is there a sponsor for the substitutions? It would be a very good opportunity for What You're Doing Ltd to raise awareness for their brand.
  • The goal sponsor was back on the screen. A tattoo parlour in Bexleyheath.

When Rumbelows sponsored the League Cup in the early 90's, the man of the match would get a free television (remember a picture of Leaburn collecting his TV from the shop in Woolwich)

I wonder if the tattoo parlour is doing a similar deal. Bulot could get both his cheeks done after last nights brace.
