Lived and worked in Stockholm for two and half years up to Christmas 2014, but never knowingly bumped into another Addick. Work colleagues were completely bemused by my strange addiction. 2 years with family in sleepy Danderyd (son played footy for Danderyds SK P03) so didn't get out much, then last 6 months commuting from UK each week and living in a small flat on Kungsholmen, nice part of town with some proper pubs. Love this city, great to be back again this week on business.
There is a thriving Swedish Addicks group in the country, largely based in Stockholm but with people dotted about all over... If I remember rightly, one of them is a fan simply because when he was a kid, he was bought a Charlton Subbuteo (sp?) team... They come over once a year for the weekend and try to take in as many matches as possible that are being played, pretty much the length and breadth of the country...I think last year they were in London on the Friday for the Fulham match (not the best one to watch!), then the midlands for another on the Saturday before heading down to watch Bristol City on the Sunday.. They'll usually have a drink in the RoD when at The Valley...
I'm going to the Swedish rock festival in June - anyone else?
Hmm, we have been playing with the idea for a while and were only just looking at plans again yesterday. My wife has been to many Sweden Rock festivals, but not since moving over 6 years ago. Her mates all go each year and her brother is head of security (BIG fella, has 200+ doormen working for him, not someone to be messed with unless you think Tony Soprano was a Pansy). It's a good natured event with mostly 30-40 somethings milling in the sunshine to metal. metal and more metal! Tickets work out about £210 for 4 day pass. Def Leppard, Motley Crue are headlining. Easiest is probably budget flight to Copenhagen then train for £9 to Solvesborg takes 90 mins.

Loved Lennie but is tarnished, it's like a comfortable jumper that gets stained and you can't wear it no more
Lennie after St Andrews cannot have a bad word to say about him. Shame his autobiography was not more interesting though!
Apparently seeing Derek hales convinced him that we were the team for him. He was a little embarrassed about it until I told him I was Charlton too.
