From Curbishley through to Peeters, Charlton's eight managers in less than nine years

Comments

  • And almost 50% of them have been in the last 10 months !
  • I miss Curbs and the good old days :(

Ah well.......onwards and well downwards as it appears.
  • Curbs - should never have gone, refer to Richard Murray
Dowie - The best available at the time, probably given too much money and not enough time
Reed - should never have been appointed, refer to RM again
Pardew - The best available at the time, probably given too much time and not enough money
Parky - should never have been appointed, too many loans and not enough money
Powell - should never have gone, refer to Roland
Riga - should never have gone, refer to Roland again
Peeters - not enough experience in dealing with Championship players or supporters
  • a reasonable summary except 2 points
    1. curbs resigned remember giving one years notice which RM didn't accept
    2. pardew - you say he wasn't given money but we probably had the biggest wage bill in the championship in his first year
