Chairman / manager relationship

Yesterday morning Steve Parish of Palarse was interviewed on R5L. Whilst I despise just about everything about them, he did talk sense about the importance of the relationship between Chairman and manager. Struck me that we don't have this under the network model. Assume our "head coach" actually reports to CEO Katrien? So that becomes the key relationship - and needs mutual respect.

Another example of us trying to go counter to English football culture.

Comments

  • just like the realtionship he had with the premiership manager of the year, who left at the beginning of the season after 8 months, Parish is exactly like Jordan and craves media attention.
  • Katrien seems to have a good relationship with most people, and is easy to work with, but so what? It's Roland who is pulling the strings from afar. The thread about Katrien's program notes bears this out.
