  • Getting tickets now means you can't back out.
eg .I was told yesterday I have to work Monday evening, but I said I have just bought tickets for the game, so can't. Otherwise I would have had to miss the game ( I could have lied I suppose, but I probably wouldn't have!)
  • Just to try and whet the appetite of those thinking about whether or not to go- I walked past Craven Cottage this morning, saw the sign saying "next home match Charlton Ath" I had goosebumps in anticipation of the match- if i hadn't got my ticket honest to god i would have ordered it on-line as soon as i had got home.

It's a mammoth match- IMHO far bigger than the Middlesborough cup game- Be part of it!!
  • Is it just me or are new posts being added out of sequence here?

    Me too!
  • I have convinced another couple of Charlton guys who were not going to go. They have bought their tickets this morning. Reckon we would of had no more than 600 for a Monday night Sky game normally.

I agree that 600 or 700 would have been likely, so already that is more than doubled thanks primarily to Charlton Life.

I do think some publicity from the club website is needed to push much beyond 1800 eg. a news item about the importance of the game, fitness status report on the returning players and a call for fans to come and help make "Kick-Start Monday" a night to really enjoy and remember. Today would be nice :-)
  • Walking up and buying on the night means people can make a last minute decision whether to come along and also will give something of an old-skool feel to the game which can only be good.
    I think we'll have a 2,500 there on Monday - can't wait.
Bolton is the only game I've made this season so looking forward to continuing my 100% win record!!
  • Just got my ticket over the phone for the game but didnt ask how many were sold.

I am on my own from this one, going straight from work in the West End, i would mind meeting a few Charlton Lifer's if they are around. I think i've only ever met Mr Hayes.

  • Being bottom of the league is an ideal time to show we still care - it could be years before we have this opportunity again, so enjoy it while you can :-)
  • And unsticky this and let it fall into the depths of the Charlton Life vault....
