Bob Peeters has played down his history with Millwall as he prepares for his first south-east London derby. The Belgian spent two years at The Den from 2003 but didn’t play against Charlton, who he now manages. Citing a foot injury for the fact he was not a regular in the Lions team, Peeters insists he is instead concentrating only on Charlton and also said his collection of new players were aware of the importance of Saturday’s fixture. He explained: “I’m not focusing on Millwall, I’m focusing on my own team. “I will see what reception they (Lions fans) give me. “I had an operation on my foot twice so I was more in the hospital than on the pitch. “It’s been a long time. I was there for two years but that’s the past but I’m focusing on the future and the present. “Everywhere you go all over the world, derbies are big games, spectacular games. “The players are up for it and know what to expect.” Charlton striker Igor Vetokele remains an injury doubt but is still in contention to play, according to the manager. “Igor Vetokele is still struggling a bit with his calf, but we’ll assess it tomorrow whether he’s going to be fine for Saturday,” he said. “We tried to get everybody fit so we have a lot of players to pick the team.”
