"It is a special game..." "It is not really a special game..."
I'm confused, Bob. Is it a special game or not?
He explained it well enough in the article.
He said that it was really just another game, as there were 3 points to be won in each match and that was the most important thing - to get the 3 points, regardless of whom we were playing.
But for fans he said that he understood it was different; "it's a long time since they've seen us beat Millwall, etc .....".
'Those goals came in back-to-back games, a 90th minute equaliser against rivals Crystal Palace followed by a brace the next week in a 4-3 defeat to Gillingham.'

In view of our record against the Scum, not losing would be a good result, but given our respective league positions, we have to be looking to win this.

It's a special game for them ( cup final) is not for us.
Both Charlton fans and Millwall fans seem to be going through this strange phase of wanting to distance themselves from how much of a big deal it is to the supporters.
Lets have it straight - they love playing us as it is a big derby for them, and we really want to f'king beat them and its a big game for us. Lets stop denying it.
It makes you realise how this game means absolutely nothing in comparison to what that family are going through. Also there are so many good people in this world.
