Article says that 6,500 immigrant workers have died in Qatar since the world cup award. Not known how many of these are connected with the World Cup.
Everything about this tournament stinks to high heaven. I wish I had the moral discipline to avoid it completely but I know I don't.

And the Qatar government could not care less ... all that matters is the PR of holding the tournament ... any money they make should go to the families of the dead, but no chance of that.
