With the season approaching the halfway point I thought I would have a look through the current Championship Odds and see where we are. With only 2 defeats in the first 17 league games we have lost fewer games than any other team in the Championship and are clearly competitive in a very tight league. The Bookmakers however are far from impressed with Charlton still being offered at 40-1 for promotion in a number of places which compares with the likes of Fulham (TopPrice 16 -1), Bolton around 25, Reading 20-1 and even teams like Brighton & Wigan both of whom I think we can finish above at shorter odds than us. Forest are behind us and have just won their first game in 10 but are top price 7-1 for promotion. Sky Bet are still offering us at 14-1 to finish in the top 6 and even 11-4 to finish in the top half compared to 2-7 for the bottom half which also seems very generous to me. A long way to go I know and a lot can still happen but some of these odds don't make sense to me. If you like a flutter and don't think it will scupper our chances they must be worth having a look at.

Against Millwall. Igor to go off after being clattered within the first 30 minutes.
Beast and Shittu to be sent off in the ensuing melee.
The bookies had us as relegation favourites at the start!
If those two clash, we could be looking at structural damage at The Valley!!
Remember that dirty Defender Pat van den Hauwe striking shaun Newton in the first 30 seconds of a match at the valley, Millwall players and crowd showed their true colours that day, even our chairman was attacked by a spanner in a suit.
The second scorer is an obvious signing for January if we get back to winning at home.
Perhaps some on here want to put something down each way @ 40:1 those odds will come down very quickly if we do the business vs Millwall, Ipswich and Blackpool
