My mate( A Spanner) mentioned a story on their forum to me, So I checked it out,
is this true and anyone who has seen the Under 18s would he be a big loss

Youngster from Charltons youth set up has agreed to a trial with us starting next month.

He's decided to leave Charlton as their youth set up is heavily influenced by parents and a 'mate' mentality.

I work with his uncle and he's just come to tell me that both Scott Fitzgerald and Barry Dunn have contacted Brandon recently. Brandon has been impressed with the personal approach shown to him by Millwall FC.

He's a versatile attacker who can play through the middle or on either flank.

Peterborough and Bury were ready to offer him a 1st team contract but he has decided to trial for our youngsters.

    From what I know the Youth set-up is exactly the opposite as described. I believe "influenced by parents" couldn't be further from truth. I do know of some that have been let go in the past who's parents attempted to influence!

    Let's be honest, the kid's going to make up excuses to his mates why he's leaving us and going to the Spanners. I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

    a 'mate' mentality...? - So who are Cousins / KAG / Gomez's mates to have got them into the First-Team... Must be the real reason why Poyet left cos he got bored with his mates!!

    Absolute rubbish - As Brunello says, the Youth set up is the complete opposite as has been described. He's obviously been told he's not good enough to make it with Charlton, and has decided to take a step down and link up with Millwank.

    Google him in a few years and you'll find out that he's become a brick layer and playing part time for Kidbrooke 856.

    Seems odd that we'd still be using him if he/we have decided it's time for him to move on. Those comments could be perceived as being a bit derogatory against the club, so puzzling they wouldn't just let him go...if he even did say them!

    (1) Doesnt work out with Millwall then he stays with us
    (2) Works out with Millwall and he leaves us.
