Hoping for an away trip to a lower division side we did not play during our League 1 years, really enjoyed Halifax a few years back.
Southampton away would be great too on a selfish level, could not be easier to get to from where im based now and good banter with the Saints supporters i know here.
Man United away so a 75,000 gate can give us a bit of money.
Not too bothered about the money we are not so needy theses days, anyway we've done it in the 90's. Easy draw to the Semis for me which would produce more than the £900k to the 6th round last season. :-0
I know we're getting Huddersfield obviously. I would like to see us play a team outside our division who try to play a bit of football. Southampton, Swansea away would be a good way to see how our style matches up, or even MK Dons or any other team that plays interesting passing football. I say this because the continentalisation of our football this season has been intriguing, and not what we're used to, and I want to gauge it away from the hurly burly of the unforgiving championship style. If I could choose one, it would probably be Swansea away.
To be honest I don't really enjoy that "glamour" away games - thinking back to Spurs and Fulham over the last few seasons, it feels like 90% of the "Charlton fans" that show up haven't been to a game for five years and just slag off our players for not being the equal of their Premier League counterparts (the pinnacle of this was some absolute tool spending the Fulham game loudly stating that Solly was the worst player he'd ever seen.

Especially as Solly was probably our best player that day.

It was probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard anyone say at a football match (and that's saying something) but it was more the way it was said, I later heard the same "fan" tell someone he was sitting with that he hadn't been to a game since the Prem days.

Been thinking this myself... Big glamour away tie at Manchester United would see fans appearing cos its a chance to go Old Trafford not to see Charlton there, in that sense, bring on Huddersfield

That's why priority should go to fans with previous aways, not allowing season ticket holders to buy others for all their mates *before* them!
However this topic may have been mentioned in the past, I apologise if it has.

We'll get Blackburn/Wigan or possibly Bolton.
I'm still not going there again.

Whoever we get, home or away, I predict a 1-1 draw.
That's the excitement of the FA Cup
