All sorted, folks. Seats in the top row of the NW, not too far from the North Upper.
We're meeting up at 11.30 but he doesn't get his ticket until 14.30 - doesn't normally take three hours to spot a Spanner. Hoping to get into Bartram's early doors. Come and say hello.

That's a good idea, nice one. Hope he's legit (and buys you a pint!)
I rather thought it's up to us to show our hospitality - I've assured the young gentleman that he would have felt far lonelier amongst 60000 at The Emirates than ever he will be in SE7 ....
I understand the suspicion, but I assure you guys that I am genuinely interested in seeing some passionate football and am not Millwall in disguise.
@GlassHalfFull has been super kind and has offered to give me a full day of everything Charlton and I'm really looking forward to it. More than happy to post pics post match!
And PS @masicat, I always make a point to bite the bartop when I visit pubs so I feel I was justified in using Nip. Bars from Halifax to Vancouver have my dental prints.
"Any suggestions on how I might get a ticket? I'd also be up to meet pre match for a pint if any of you lovely Addicks would care to educate a poor cannuck on the illustrious history of your club."
@Bcaddick I'm making most of these posts from my cell phone, so you'll have to forgive the odd typo.
It's up to you if you want to believe me, I know I'm not Millwall and will have the pictures to prove it after the match. Until then I don't know what else I can do to satisfy the sceptics.
Don't worry about it ARG. Just have a good time and keep an eye on our results from now on.
Thanks, appreciate it. Saw you guys got 3 points at the madejeski, well done! The championship table also seems wide open what with the top 9 or 10 teams within 5 points. I'll defo keep a closer eye on it than usual if it stays this tight.
It is clear that our new friend (his name is Adam, btw - can't use that username) is already getting a taste of The World's #4 League. If you think it's tight now, my boy, we're only a third of the way through the season. This is a real league, simple as that.
So, folks, enough of Spannerwatch, ok ? I promise that if on the day his phone rings and starts to play Let Them All Come Down I'll administer a sound thrashing with my walking stick. Otherwise, can we please offer him a day to remember and to make him feel privileged to be at 50% of this year's South London derbies.
Highbury? The Library. The Emirates - a grandiose stadium built not out of an honest chalk-pit but on an old rubbish dump, where .... the only sound .... is of whispering banknotes .... leaving their wallets .... aahh .... sshh.
Well, this is South London and I'll give Adam a taste of SE18 where The Gooners had their modest beginnings. And then to the real thing at The Valley and a proper football experience - as Steve Martin says "Why sip from a teacup when you can drink from a river!"
Thanks for the quick responses and the help. Just rang the ticket office and they said that without membership I've no chance of buying a ticket because now that Millwall have sold out their away allotment they aren't going to take any chances selling to unknowns. So I can understand why you guys might think I'm Millwall(it's almost like they have a bad rep or something).

Thought Millwall only put tickets on sale to their lot today!?!

Fanny, I felt it only fair to forewarn Adam of what to expect, and also directed his attention to the timely picture of you in the post-match comments. Irresistible!

Millwall tickets don't even go on sale until Monday.
"Tickets go on sale to season ticket holders on Monday 10th November from 9.30am and to members on Wednesday 12th November from 9.30am"
The Argsenal is a Scumwall fan and having my doubts about Chris from Sidcup as he seems to know a lot about when there tickets go on sale---mmm
Simple test would be to ask the Canadian fella to PM a link to his FB page, so it can be verified that he's genuine, then send a message through FB to confirm that this is actually his account. Won't take long to suss it out if (a) it's not his page (b) it's just been set up as a ruse...........

Sure, I'd be happy to oblige but I'd prefer to just do it the one time so if you guys can nominate someone who you are all certain is also not Millwall it might help. Maybe a mod?
Yes, definately one person. GlasshalfFull would probably be the best option, seeing as he's the one putting his faith into sorting you out a ticket.........

COYA!!
.... and if I was Millwall I wouldn't have one.
I gave him the Fanny once-over when we first met a few weeks ago & he passed with flying colours.
Hoping to meet young Adam in 2 weeks' time & will give him the infamous Fanny glare as I suss him out....

Milwall fan"Canadian"?!Double yawn indeed!
