It was on SSN as well. Pards said he had a knock and felt he owed it to Darren and the fans to let it be known he wasn't fully fit. To be honest i'm surprised with him saying it though, as he's usually so positive and letting the opposition know that your best player isn't fully fit isn't doing us any favours is it.

But he did go onto say that Bent was still likely to play so where's the mind games? Mind games would be saying he wasn't fit and wouldn't make it surely?

he's got you at it hasn't he ?...imagine what warnock must be thinking...
Would prefer one of them up front with ZZ just behind. But he did say Bent was likely to play. Let's be honest even at 70% fit he's better than the other options.
I heard it at 8:30, but was half asleep at the time, and they haven't played it since, so was beginning to wonder whether I'd dreamed it.
I suspect Bent may not start the match but be on the subs bench, or will start but only play 60mins, and this is a way of preparing us for the fact in an attempt to minimise the collective jitters, with the added bonus of playing midgames with Warnock. Personally though, if I was Pards, I'd be locking Lisbie in a room with a video of his Liverpool hat-trick today, in the hope that it makes him more up for it tomorrow.
