Welsh international Graham Moore joined the club from Northampton Town in May 1967 for £15,000. The former Cardiff, Chelsea and Manchester United player was employed in an attacking midfield role under managers Stokoe, Firmani and Foley and made 120 league and cup appearances scoring 8 goals.
Sadly he broke his right shin bone at Blackburn in February 1971 and it was the last time he was seen in a Charlton shirt. He was sold to Doncaster Rovers for £4,000 in September 1971 bought by his former Manchester United and Charlton team mate, Maurice Setters. Moore was dogged with injuries including a broken leg whilst at Belle Vue and retired from football at the end of the 73/74 season.
After his retirement from football Graham was landlord of a pub in Easingwold near York before taking over the management of a sub-post office in Scarborough.
As of May 2010, Graham was living in the North Yorkshire village of Burythorpe Malton next door to the Bay Horse pub he used to run.
Any stories of Graham's spell at the Valley.
