Some of you hate the Mail more than you hate Palace. Very strange.
For the record, while I applaud the Palace fan's stance, I repeat the opinion I expressed on another thread, that if a billionaire decided to pour his money into Charlton (wherever that money was made) , almost none of you would distance yourself from the club in protest.
You got me thinking about how I would feel in the unlikely event of that happening. Moral or selfish? Huge dilemma.
Maybe for the game at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea fans should put together a banner saying "clubs defaulting on their debts are ruining small businesses and cheating"

Not at all, some sensible people can see beyond a little "local difficulty" and look at the bigger picture where millions are fed a daily diet of vitriol and hatred of all things that don't represent the view of the stinking rich owners of a certain newspaper...

The interesting thing is how very rarely that has actually happened. Basically Abramovic and Man City's and PSG's Arabs -and in these cases for reasons which you might charitably describe as political. The Glazers, notably have not done that. It's all debt. Southampton, very modestly. We are fighting more against the unequal distribution of TV money, than against lots of billionaire owners.

So, you are saying I'm not sensible because I read a certain paper?
Umm, so the "broadcaster", Adrian Durham described by the Guardian as an "expert phone-in troll, arrogantly spouting inflammatory football opinions in the hope of prompting some indignant phone rage from an uppity fan." writes an article........
There is, of course, no chance that Mr Abramovic will take action. And the FA might find it more prudent just to ignore the matter. Otherwise they'd have to prove it was a fib wouldn't they?
Apart from anything else, the missing apostrophe means the palace morons must be referring to the plunder from either the Roman Empire or the Italian Mafia and the banner has nothing to do with the well-known Russian oligarch at all.

Now now. You should know by now that ALL lefties are more intelligent than ANYONE else, you know why? because THEY say so...

Why does not reading the mail make you a lefty?
Some people just don't want to read continual articles about Kris Jenner's latest cosmetic treatment, Robert Pattinson's relationship woe or the 'you are going to be murdered' type articles they pad the celebrity gossip out with

I was referring to my old left leaning sparing partner Algarve, should of been more specific... But he knows I love him ;0)
The Mail is something I pick up and read on an rare visit to my Dad's place. Now he does have some severe Right wing leanings, always a laugh up there.
I am sorry but this summer there net spend was worse than Chelsea
Chelsea, net spend £10m
Cesc Fábregas (Barcelona, £30m), Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid, £32m), Mario Pasalic (Hadjuk Split), Filipe Luís (£20m), Didier Drogba (Galatasaray), Loïc Rémy (QPR, £10.5m)
Crystal Palace, net spend £11m
Chris Kettings (Blackpool), Fraizer Campbell (Cardiff City, £0.9m), Brede Hangeland (Fulham), Martin Kelly (Liverpool), Wilfried Zaha (Manchester United, loan), Zeki Fryers (Tottenham, £3m), James McArthur (Wigan, £5.5m), Kevin Doyle (Wolves, loan)

Completely irrelevant. Firstly the argument is about where the money comes from, not how much has been spent. But even if you put that aside, Chelsea have already spent hundreds of Millions over recent years with a huge net loss building the squad from which to work with and a subsequence is that their players have a higher value when sold on. Palace (and most) haven't and don't and need to spend to improve and ne able to have a chance of remaining longer term in the EPL. Plus the net spend doesn't take wages into consideration which will obviously be hugely more than most.

Again my point was they have still spent more money THIS summer, and even if you forget Chelsea they spent more money this summer than VILLA BURNLEY LEICESTER STOKE SUNDELAND SWANSEA TOTTENHAM
so yes Chelsea have spent a lot of Money over the years, but Palace have spent a lot this season, the difference is Chelsea make a lot more money than palace as well

All I am trying to say is they are no saints
but it's not the point, Paulie. What the Palace fans are on about is from where and how Abramovic came into such unfeasible riches. To be on the safe side for AFKA and Lookie it would be unwise to discuss that in too much detail on CL, but it would be safe to assert that in the UK it would be absolutely impossible for somebody to have "built" such a business as Abramovic has done in the same business sectors (energy). The current Palace directors unfortunately seem like a decent bunch who made their money in transparent business, and you have to say that they got promoted on a fraction of the budget QPR nearly blew last season.
