Have only see him once, via a live feed of a youth cup game against Man Utd. He was 1 or 2 years younger than anyone on the pitch, playing in the middle of midfield and imo stood out from everyone.
Mark my words. This guy will be our first choice left back within 12 months, or he will go for a sizeable fee to a premiership club
Great debut Tarieq
You may mock, but we will see.
Nah just in a joking way... Want to see as many youngsters come through as possible, have heard good things for a while bout Tarieq so hope he makes it.
Could he be the link out on the Left of Midfield that we need? - Gonna be difficult as weve him, Daniel AND Edwards all coming through on that side of Midfield / Defence
Typical Charlton Forever. We seem to have an abundance of talent in certain areas, but a dearth of it in others. Think you're right, could play LM or CM.
Some comments from Oxford fans on his debut... 'Holmes-Dennis 8: Should probably get MOM just because of how composed he was on his first ever league match!! Was strong defensively and is a good passer of the ball. Played a lovely simple pass in the build up to the goal. Never looked out of his depth, seemed to make the right decision on whether to clear the ball or play it out of defence. Should get better!'
'Holmes-Dennis 7 - Quick and eager. Impressive debut.'
'Holmes-Dennis 8: On the strength of one performance he looks really great - like the 'complete' players that play in higher leagues. Comfortable in defense and going forward, strong in the air and the tackle. Only downside is that the partnership between him and COD didn't quite come together, though this wasn't either of their's fault and I'd hope it to be something that would develop.'
'I thought Holmes-Dennis was absolutely exceptional - neat, good positioning, picked some good passes, strong enough in the challenge. Can you remember a better Oxford debut?'
'That is a quality performance not just for ur first game at a new club. But first professional game for any club. Good in the air. Great tackling and going forward.'
'The young man had a great debut. I can see why he is so highly rated on that display. Good on the ball, good size, decent in the air, gets stuck in and confident.'

All I can say is that Charlton must be overflowing with talented, quick, skilful and determined left-backs. After all, why else would they let him go out on loan?
He's going to have a very good career, I just hope we can take him for at least the rest of the season.
This could end up being the best outward loan since Parker went to Norwich and came back knowing how to tackle.
Sounds more like he'd have been fine had we played him in the first team without needing experience out on loan.
you could well be right. but.......
If he comes in at left back, do you drop Wiggins, who had a couple of his best games at Rotherham and Norwich, but has been a bit hot and cold this season.
also let's not kid ourselves that the 2nd division widemen are anywhere near as good as the Championship.
If he comes thou a couple of months in the hard school of the 2nd division then he could well leapfrog the likes of wiggins and fox, or at least give Bob another option. Left mid ?
No worries with this. THD is probably behind Fox in the pecking order at the moment and will benefit from an extended run of games for Oxford. Bob will want to see if THD can maintain a level of performance over a length of time and the main thing is for the lad to play regularly under proper pressure.

I just like how he does everything with ease. If we can keep him longer I would fancy him to knotch a few and definitely get some assists .

Signing this lad up for the season has to be a priority. Two starts, two wins. He's going to think this professional football thing is easy!
