Looked in agony. Bikey helped him off the pitch at the end. Anyone unhappy that Wolves played on even though Igor laid out in the penalty area?
No problem with that. They don't have to and the referee only has to stop play if it's a head injury. I wish we'd do it more sometimes.
My problem wasn't that the wolves players didnt knock the ball off (even though we did against Watford under similar circumstances) - but the ball then went off for a Wolves throw, Vetokele was still down and play continued without him getting medical attention
This.
No problem with playing on but they were all aware he was down so when the ball goes out of play they should have stopped...rushed the throw in to get the ball back in play which was poor.

Fair enough. Just another example of how awful the officials were last night.
There's a striker coming in on loan by the weekend.
So easy to say, no name, no proof, and if it doesn't happen, oh dear last minute hitch
But one day luck will strike and forever they will claim to be ITK.
Bit like wandering around the betting ring at a racecourse and in a ten-runner race telling ten different people a different horse to back - you're guaranteed to get a drink from someone!!
So often you see players go down after a minor knock, just to break up play, especially if the opposition have the ball in a dangerous position. The ball is kicked out of play, and momentum is lost.
Vetekole was clearly in some pain, but it wasn't a head injury or the sort of terrible injury where every second counts, so I wouldn't have expected Wolves to kick the ball out of play. By the time the ball went out of play, he had got to his feet anyway, and a few seconds later was calling for the ball!
Before he got that injury it was clear to see that he was absolutely knackered. At one point we had a counter attack and had the ball around their box, whilst Igor was just walking back, still in our half. Any striker would usually be absolutely busting a gut to get forward for an attack like that.
Watched him afterwards and it didn't look like he was carrying a knock, but was just exhausted.

Against Watford Igor was spent after 75 mins (but three subs were used) and last night after about 80mins.
A guy that has scored 5 goals in as many games, big Bob is going to want to keep on the pitch.
Maybe you left on the final whistle and didn't see Igor in agony with his arm being held by cafc staff.

Was fuming that they didnt but after a nights sleep... Would we be moaning had the roles been revered, we'd be pissed off cos one of our players would have done the decent thing.
Although saying that on Saturday against Watford that very thing did happen where a Watford player went down injured, we could have attacked yet we kicked the ball out so for Wolves not to have returned the compliment the abuse they received was deserved
I'm with you pal. I think it was disgusting that Wolves didn't return the compliment of Charlton kicking the ball out against Watford !
He left the field in tears? With just a cut? Killer would have walked off nonchalantly with hisMick Flanagan's severed head under his arm. Those were the days :-)
If he is going to be out then I would guess they will keep it quiet so clubs don't know how desperate for a striker we are and may go easier on the wage share agreement for a loan

Also he would not want Rotherham to know, to allow them to plan their tactics

It is up to the ref to stop the game in my opinion.

Has Igor said anything on his own twitter ?
Like what hospital he's in ?
when are visiting hours ?
Is his mum coming over from Angola ?
Will he play again before his contract runs out ?
Or was it just a wind up ? (he deserved an oscar, if thats the case)
