  • Curious that bookies have wolves favourites. Char 3-1, igor to score first
  • Johann is the best player in our team for switching the play from one side to the other, when he's on his game.
which gives the team impetus. Will be Amazed if fit to play 90.

The ubiquitous Wilson can dove tail with Gomez or solly.

The unbeaten run is 8 League games now.

    April 26th CA1 Blackburn3

I hope it's one of those special nights at the valley,
but can only endorse the comments that 4 points from these two home games is decent.

But 6 points would be decenter, sam !

  • Can't see past a 0-5 defeat.
  • Our squad might be a bit fragile at the moment.

On the worse case scenario side we don't have Johan, Chris, possibly a very tired Igor and Jacko, and maybe another 'sod it' injury we don't yet know about.
So a pie in the sky team assuming Bikey is also a bit tired (from last week's travelling) and has a slight knock...and all the time BP is mindful of Rotherham on Saturday.

Could this lot do a job tomorrow:

    Henderson,

    Gomez, TBH, Morrison, Wiggins

    Wilson, Yoni, Jordan, Harriott

    George Moussa

Subs: Pope, Fox, Munns, Church, Osborne, Ansah, Daniel

My scenario indicates how thin our squad is. Pigott is out on loan, as is Lennon and Phillips (gk) is the only player not mentioned above.

I certainly hope my worst case scenario is miles off, but it shows how much we need to either get loanees in, or promote more youngsters.

I think we will be stronger than the team I have mentioned above, and if Cousins plays inside we may be better anyway. Still a tough game against a perky Wolves who if they get into their groove, and we feel disjointed, then we may struggle.
My hope is if you can't win, don't lose.
  • 6 points would be decenter than 4 Fanny, But that would mean we've won our first 4 home matches.

Is that possible ??? under the radar no more , me thinks

Oh ye of little faith, sam !

  • No reason why we can't beat Wolves, as Derby, Brighton and then Watford were all meant to be the game our bubble was burst, yet we came away unbeaten with 7 points, so we can do it once again COYR!

A heavy defeat with Bikey scoring an OG. His confidence will be destroyed which will mentally affect tal. Then it will be a fight for survival in the champ.

  • Think we'll slip up here. 1-0 defeat.
  • We have more savvy now and I think we'll win this. 2-0.
  • Due a loss, I think. 1-2.
  • Missing jbg is a big loss as we are light on creativity. Would prefer to see cousins in the middle for Jacko but unlikely as this is Jacko's type of game where he'll pop up with the winner or equaliser.

    I'm going for a 1-1
  • Wolves will employ differen tactics to Wigan, derby, Watford. They won't be as attacking and therefore won't leave as much space at the back. I can see a bore draw as we fail to break them down. they'd settle for a point. 0-0.
  • Can't see us winning this one 2-0 to them.
  • We haven't gone out and really dominated a team for the majority of a math yet so I have confidence high and the team all coming together I think we aare gonna put in our best performance yet! Take the game to wolves and score a good number of goals!

    4:1 igor(2) cousins and harriot

    Henderson
    Gomez tbh bikey wiggins
    Wilson buyens cousins harriott
    Tuc igor

Think jacko looked like he needed the rest.. so cousins moves inside!
Also think CH playing on one wing and Wilson on the other maintains the balance with one out and out winger and Wilsons work rate of help out in midfield and also support gomez and nullify the threat of Sako! Hopefully CH can be the outlet that JBG has been!
  • 2-1 Charlton. Igor and Buyens late pen.
  • Wolves have, like us, played against some decent teams so far BUT they have also played both Blackpool (draw) and Fulham (1-0 win), who are both struggling. Not to be taken lightly, but perhaps a bit more vulnerable than some of the other teams we have faced so far? I think that Big Bob will stick with 4-4-2 at least as a starting formation but bring on Moussa for George again at some point.

I'm hoping that Wolves have been running on promotion adrenalin so far and that their bubble is going to burst tonight. I strongly fancy us to win, and I'll go with 3-1. Great to be looking forward to a match, and a good performance, with a degree of confidence!
  • Think it could be a real test tonight, but should be a good match. The important question is who will be on the stickers?

  • Real test it is the Charlton way.

Feel that George is due a game and tonight might be it.

  • The big bad bonkers bald Belgian honeymoon has to end sometime but not tonight please.

Back in UK and my first home game of the season and going with a Wolves mate which may be the kiss of death

    1-1.
  • Basically if Sako and McDonald have off days we will be fine.
  • Sako will be a tough customer. Him and Bikey will be interesting

Sako may be more of a job for Buyens. He drops deep and scores most of his goals from that position. Quality player.
  • Wolves have sold 1,412 and with pay on the day, will be bringing a good turnout

always had a good following, I actually know a couple of 'local' Wolves fans
  • Gutted that I can't make this as abroad this week... 1-1 and we continue the unbeaten run. Tuc to score (good odds for this)
  • At the beginning of the season, of these teams, which would you say was the easiest: Wigan, relegated from Premier; Derby, Brighton and Watford, all at the top of the championship last season, or Wolves, who were in division one last season. Why should we be any more afraid of Wolves than the teams we have already beaten. As long as BP gets his tactics right and the players play to their top form, I think we could win this
  • This may be the first league game where we have to play on the front foot,as Wolves's game is defence and breakaways. That means one of our midfielders has to play in the opposition half. Jackson is best suited for this as he has looked decent when playing behind the front two.
