The debut episode of 1905, Charlton’s new live pre-match preview show, will air on Thursday night with Johnnie Jackson as the star attraction.
The show will stream live on the club’s official YouTube channel from The Valley changing rooms every Thursday evening at 7.05pm and provide exclusive interviews as well as all the build-up to the weekend’s match.
For the inaugural episode, Addicks captain Jackson will join regular host Olly Groome and panellist Peter Finch on set to give his thoughts on the week in SE7, preview the match against Birmingham City and answer questions from Charlton supporters.
After months of testing, Fan Engagement and Content Manager Jimmy Stone is excited to get the show started.
“After plenty of testing and problem solving I’m delighted to say that we are ready to launch 1905,” he said.
“It’s the first time the club have tried a live broadcast like this and we believe it’s going to be a great way to engage further with our supporters.
“The show will be interactive with fans able to ask questions of the panel, and we believe it will be a great way for to prepare for the weekend’s match.”
As well as hearing from special guest Jackson, this week’s viewers will also get the first look at September’s Goal of the Month competition and watch the best bits of Bob Peeters’ press conference from earlier that day.
Supporters an watch the show at www.youtube.com/cafcofficial, and pose questions to Johnnie using #CAFC1905 on Twitter, on the CAFC Wall or by commenting on the club’s official Facebook page.
Wanna show some support by watching it now but it's not very good quality. My net is pretty decent and it's crackly, bad lip syncing and going down every few minutes. Gonna give it a miss until it's up on the youtube channel.
Thought it was pretty decent - nice to see the club trying to fill the void in CAFC coverage left by the professional broadcasters. Dfinitely some room for improvement in the quality of the stream (jerky video, crackly sound and bad lip syncing) but thought the general content and presentation style was decent.
Big thumbs up to the Comms team.
Next one on your to do list - make our match highlights available online at a decent resolution. I can get Welling United highlights in HD on YouTube, but CAFC highlights are like watching YouTube in the days of dial-up (the one's put out via the Football League, not things like the Go-Pro footage which is good quality).
I thought the programme was excellent, although the picture quality was poor. It was as if it was some way between slow motion and a normal picture. Anyway, enjoyed it well done on the content at least.
PS It didn't finish after an hour but is possibly on a loop, so you may be able to watch it at any time.
Watched it on YouTube after the fact. Quality not the greatest, but the content was great and I personally enjoyed it when they touched upon the current tactics i.e passing from the back and jacksons positioning.
Funny when JJ mentioned that his Dad checks the forums sometimes, and joked about 'his legs being gone'.
Good show. Paul Mortimer a great interviewee. Much better production values - no buffering or crackling noises. That just leaves Olly's amusing "not out of shot" hand gestures to the cameraman!

Interviews with players, etc and live U21 games on youtube.
All sounds good to me.
Well done Jimmy Stone and the comms team

Nice idea though.
Jackson is good value though. Think he has a career as a pundit ahead of him.
Can't criticise the idea though and hopefully when they're a few weeks in it will be sorted.
Weak though and not very professional at all right now.
Big thumbs up to the Comms team.

Mortimer was a fantastic guest.
