New Look England Squad...

Champions in the making.

Why is Chambers in the England squad. In other countries they have to have a few solid seasons to make it whereas in England any youngster is made to be the next superstar if they have a few good games. Mind you there is no one else who can do better.1

FABIAN DELPH!1
-
I like Fabian Delph. He's the only genuine holding midfielder who can tackle that England has. If he could score more than one goal every forty years he'd be a good shout3
-
Because he plays for Arsenal now. Everyone knows you only get seriously considered for the England team if you play for one of the top seven clubs, as proven by the likes of Tom Cleverley.dizzee said:Why is Chambers in the England squad.

Danny Rose is dreadful!
Bring back Ashley Cole.1 -
rather have Nat King Cole3
-
Delph was best player on the park on tv on the weekend, he's improved a lot, and is much better than cleverley anyhow haha0
-
Ward-prowse as well apparently. Weakest squad for........well.......since the last one. This mob will struggle to qualify for euro 2016.0

Pick the same old players: 'this is why England never win anything, golden generation, old guard, tainted by failure etc'.
Pick young players for the future and those who haven't appeared before: 'what a rubbish squad, who are these guys, we'll never win anything, where are the superstars etc'.
Christ, I almost feel sorry for Roy. Roy8 -

We have got to stop fast tracking under 19s into the full squad, when they have a load of learning to do especially at Under 21s. Chambers has done well for the U19s, so get him into the squad, play in the tournament next summer, then worry about him stepping up5
-
There's no problem with them playing in the first team but that doesn't mean they should then not also play for their respective age group. Germany and Spain did this and it hasn't down them any harm. We have to start taking youth football more seriously.Rothko said:We have got to stop fast tracking under 19s into the full squad, when they have a load of learning to do especially at Under 21s. Chris who?1

Spain and Germany take U21s deadly seriously, getting experience of tournament football is so important, still think we missed a trick with the Olympics. The Red Robin said:

Admittedly there has to be a line, and that line should be drawn across Danny Rose's face.ValleyGary said:

I agree, although not sure we would have got away with it at the Olympics. We just need a manager brave enough and good enough to give the kids more than a 45 minute chance in a friendly. I don't think Hodgson is that man, unfortunately I don't who would be any better at it.Rothko said:

My son just turned 2 but is showing signs of being able to kick with his left foot so he should be in the next squad!Garrymanilow said:

Surely that's the only requirement right?

No recognised right back in the squad. Why Colback and Delph are in is anyone's guess. They will get the customary 10 minutes at the end of the match, have ni impact because the games is pretty much over, and then never return again like Shelvey and Zaha.0

Poyet in England u20 squad0

and that little scouse git is the new England captain - I despair0

Clyne should be in there.
Shows how far we've fallen, awful squad. Luckily we have Shaw, Gibbs, Barkley, Walcott all waiting to come back after injury.1 -
Totally agree with this. Clyne is the best English right back out there and had more assist than any English defender in the Premier League last season. Is Trippier English?SELR_addicks said:Clyde should be in there.
