After all the pretty stuff we have seen its good to know that we aren't afraid to throw the centre back up front and launch the ball when it is just not working. A proper championship goal.
Nice to keep that unbeaten run going, my first game of the season next week at Brighton and i'm taking my son who's never seen us win away in about 10 attempts so reality will return next week. Great flick on by Bikey and sharpness in Igor, that was shown in his youtube stuff , for that finish . Above the scum an added bonus and palace bottom two

Looks like Bobs celebrations are getting up other managers noses, Hudds caretaker says we celebrated like we had won the championship ... long may it last
Bob was the last man on the pitch and did look like he'd won a grand on the lottery. I think he loves the winning feeling and a last minute equalizer is pretty much as good as.
We bossed the first half and when their man was sent of for the second late challenge in as many minutes, the first receiving only a booking, it left the ref no choice. They came out second half and threw it all at us and the result was a quick goal when we were napping in defence. It still felt like we would come good and take control, but it didn't really happen until about 85 minutes had gone. In a short time we hit the bar as injury time was looming and then scored and Hudds appeared to collapse and we could have won it, but whilst throwing the kitchen sink at them for a winner they could have won also, such was the open play as the game came to a close. I think another 5 minutes and we'd have found a winner.
A point won definately. Chatted to a Town fan walking out and he felt that we were much improved on last year and that the ref spoilt the game and won't be welcome there again any time soon.
A game we could / should have won, but could / should have lost. No complaints from the team. They huffed and puffed and eventually got a deserved injury time reward. Bob has a right to celebrate no matter what other managers think. Two away draws, unbeaten in four. A new look team that are still getting to know each other.
As for church he threw himself into a few good crosses and only for last ditch defenders getting in front of him, he would have scored today. For a cameo he gave all that could be expected, so I apologize for being underwhelmed when he came on.
this was my first match of the season and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. with the exception of Pope and Vetokele the rest were rubbish, how can you play a passing game if the players can't make forward incisive pass. Bob was obviously displeased which was good and it seemed that we had the ten men not Hudds,
Hard luck Hudds you deserved to win, the only hope I can take from that match is if we can play that badly and get a point then there is hope
It's easy to get negative about our performance today, but last year these were the types of game we would have seen heads go down and lost. Again, Big Bob continued to galvanise them and he made all the right substitutions and went for broke with effectively 5 attackers at the end. The support today was brilliant. Still need 2 more additions, hopefully left-sided where we came up short today. Rhoys needs to up his game and we need back-up for Jordan. That's 2 Saturdays on the trot I've gone mental in added-on time. I'll take that!
Surely it's worth giving Harriott a run on the left?
Yes, but I'd sort out the problem of left back first.
I've only seen the derby game, and I didn't think Wiggins was too bad. He was up against a very good player in McManaman at Wigan. Obviously I don't know how he played today. Someone earlier said back 4 all weren't that good. I still think Wiggo will get back up to performances of seasons gone by. We're only 4 games in. He definitely didn't overlap that much against Derby I thought.
I'm not able to make games very often now cos of work but worried to hear Wiggins seems to be struggling. Time to drop him for Fox? Might do him some good if he has to up his game to get back into the team.

Biggest issue today was poor pass completion, and still think he's off the pace a little. I didn't see the Derby game where he got good reviews. He was replaced by Church so that's gotta say something!!!

In the two home games i have seen we have had some very iffy periods and today sounds like we had 80+minutes of it
Lillis was not very complimentary in his interview with Sky .....said when we scored we celebrated on the line as though we won the FA Cup ....bit of a misog ...what does he expect when you score late for a point just sit and clap......you have to be graceful mr Lillis
I dread what to think these managers would be saying if it was one of us as manager, me personally I'd probably be escorted out the ground soon after a late goal..
First game of the season. Dominated possession, but very little penetration. Huddersfield looked well drilled, chased down everything and pressed constantly forcing mistakes in our passing game.
Pope had a bit of a mare to start but really grew in the game. Pulled off three brilliant saves, one a fingertip to a certain goal. If he can learn to dominate his area a bit more and improve his distribution, we'll have a proper keeper. Jackson had a very tidy game.
Some of the most flagrant time wasting I've ever seen and possible the most inept performance from ref I have ever witnessed. Actually left the ground feeling sorry for Huddersfield.
NLA gotta say son u got it spot on , on my hols son getting pissed when Ivor banged in the leveller i was hoping u ad a bet on him great stuff up the addicks.
Different view, just got back and just want to say our support was fantastic today and never gave up on the team, if Huddersfield had 11 k there they were silent for most of the game and there faces and silence when we equalised in extra time was worth every single mile of the journey. Also compliments to Hudds ground staff and stewards very friendly and good banter with the away fans and really helped to make the day. As for our performance today I would agree wholeheartedly with OsamaBenHamer's very accurate appraisal and would add Popey had a worldly and kept us in the game after a very nervy start, he was put under a lot of pressure today from our own defence with lots of back passes when other options were available so respect to Nick for a decent game. Well done to. Igor for another goal and this is a different squad to last season, they don't give up they keep their shape and in the end they get a result even in extra time... I have a feeling this is going to be an exciting season
Enjoyed my first match in yorkshire, nice stadium and great to come away with a point from not the best performance.
We started pretty badly, and I think we were lucky that a foul was given when Pope went down outside the box. He was very very shaky for the first 10-20 minutes, and the defence didn't seem to have much confidence in him. Thankfully he pulled off a great save which seemed to give him a kick up the backside and he played much better after that.
I think we dominated midfield for much of the game, with some great passes. Unfortunately not many of these seemed to find our strikers in good positions. I didn't think Bikey looked as all conquering as he had done the last time I saw him against Brentford. Still a beast and it was nice to see people injuring themselves by running into him. He certainly was not a crowd favourite with the Huddersfield fans! Gudmunson played some very good balls, and hopefully he'll manage to craft himself some more space in future games and get some shots on target. Jackson put in a shift and Buyens looked assured, although he did fade towards the end, with some wayward passing.
They scythed down two of our players who were either through on goal, or looking to create a good goal scoring opportunity - Igor's run through which resulted in their player being sent off came from a brilliant bit of skill by George. Igor and George didn't see too much of the ball, and Moussa seemed fairly ineffective when he came on.
TBH got very annoyed about a free kick at one point, he seems like he is always simmering under the surface and ready to go off - which has it's plus and minus points. I think they should have had a penalty for a shove by TBH before we equalised. The ref had a poor game from a Huddersfield point of view, he didn't seem to want to book Charlton players, and nothing really seemed to go their way. Feels odd to say that about the opposing team!
Overall view - we played better in the first half, their red card really changed the dynamic of the game and we didn't seem to be able to create any chances with them parking the bus somewhat after they scored. Huddersfield had more chances to score, and probably should have walked away with all three points. We started to create some real pressure at the end of the game, and I was ecstatic to see the Beast play the perfect knock down to Igor to send us 400 or so fans into raptures. It felt like a win at the end. We'll learn from this and move on. Next up for me will probably be Rotherham next month, can't wait! COYR!
Haha hudders caretaker boss on SSN. Proper sour grapes. "Their bench celebrated like they just won the FA Cup when all they did was equalised against 10 men, but oh well". Quality. Suck it up son.
That has made me night, I can see it now, BBBB going wild again, all our subs off the bench, that's how it's supposed to be! So much passion in this Charlton side on and off the field, love it.
Also TBH's tweet that we were disappointed not to win, the boys know we have got it in our locker to beat anyone in this league.

Fustrated but content
(at JMS)
He was replaced by Church so that's gotta say something!!!
I really like our new boss.
His subs, his faith in Popey and this classic quote.
What a man.
Be gracious in defeat... etc etc.
happy with a point before game and still am
Millwank we are coming for u

You must of gone ape shit when the equaliser went in though? ;0)
