The rumours I've seen have been linking him with the stadium but not Coventry or Wasps themselves.
the two companies quoted are tied up with WASPS RUFC, which may or may not have ceased to exist .. If Ashley buys the stadium and Coventry City can still play there, then that is surely a very good outcome

Coventry City agreed a deal on Wednesday to sell an 85% stake in the club to businessman Doug King.
A court ruled his £25m offer to own the stadium had come too late.
I can only imagine he'll be using the stadium as leverage to jump the queue and buy the club. Having the stadium with no team(s) to play there just doesn't make sense.
Hopefully it's a "has to be given out but we hope it never will be activated" type of punishment, as the condition of the pitch had very little to do with the club.
