When I got home last night I said to the wife, "I've just won the jackpot on the lottery! Time to pack the bags!!" "Ooh", she said. "Winter or summer?" "Anything you like", I replied. "Just f*** off!"
I'd prefer Summer if Britain's buildings weren't over-insulated and air-con is seen as an expensive luxury, whereas in almost every other developed county South of London, air-con is more or less everywhere in one way or another (I don't mean like some places where the air-con can make a 35C room like a walk-in freezer, just so you aren't profusely sweating in a room designed to not let heat escape).
Basically I dislike the extremes, very hot or very cold. Apart from a few days, this Summer has been excellent for me. As an old guy, I dislike driving in the dark.

An old Mike Reid joke.....
At least when you're cold you can put a jumper on
I don't like excessive heat but I do like daylight. Going to work and coming home in the dark is horrible.
Winter, for 100% selfish reasons.
More of a spring person, knowing summer's on the way and seeing everything coming back to life after a miserable winter...........
