Who/What will be our biggest surprise this season - and biggest disappointment

  • Interesting thread. Glad I didn't make any predictions.
Chuckled, quite unfairly, at those expecting big things from George.
Henderson seems to be the big winner.
  • Biggest disappointment? Finding another "Charlton" thread taken over by Yann Kermogant.

2 posts out of 42.. About 3% of them. One made in August 2014, the next in April 2015. Taken over?

But as it's supposed to be a Charlton thread, why is he bought up at all?
  • I didn't post on this thread but my biggest surprise is that the transfermarkt valuations for Buyens, Bulot, Gudmundsson and Vetokele have all proved to be vaguely accurate - all rated €2m give or take...all of them a cut or three above what we've had over the last seven years.
And another surprise is how our young players Fox, Cousins and Gomez have pushed on to their next level.

My biggest disappointment was how we folded after Reading away and how the Luzon appointment was handled after Peeters was clearly toast! I thought the actual decision was spot on and perhaps a few weeks too late...and, like others I am concerned at how the bigger decisions are communicated.

Another surprise is how, despite my upbeat comments at the time, the team I saw struggle vs Welling and Brentford away at the start has become part of a club which many fans believe can step up for a challenge next season. On paper I always thought we took giant steps last summer but we were second best too often between August and January.

I'm disappointed for Harriott and Tucudean but perhaps not surprised. And was also disappointed that Reza went elsewhere but our club moves on and prepares for 2015-16.
