dont think so, think he's doing janice long the dj (allegedly)
Lineker is a footballing legend but just a bit better as a host than Grevesie, purely woeful at asking or taxing his guests. A complete disgrace behind the great Sir Des who dealt with oppinions rather than drawing out cliched drivel.

Agreed, this trend of replacing serious journalists/reporters with ex-players is an absolute joke. It has dumbed down the coverage so much that it is now just like an Old Boys Club where nobody wants to say anything offensive - especially about the big clubs.
Best EPL coverage is over on RTE in Ireland where Eamonn Dunphy and Johnny Giles really give it some and don't give a toss who they offend.
[cite]Posted By: Algarveaddick[/cite]Why do people get out of their tree about inoffensive TV presenters like Adrian Chiles, when Piers Morgan still walks the earth?
I can't remember who said this but I heard this analogy recently;
"Watching Adrian Chiles on TV is comparable to spending an eternity queuing up in a dull lifeless buffet car on a train, only to find out they've run out of stale curled-up cheese sandwiches".

Amen II.
He is the biggest wanker on the face of the earth.
I didn't know much about him and then my brother borrowed me his second book, the bloke seriously thought that as Editor of the Daily Mirror that he had a genuine influence on the Iraq War!!!

Sad fact is Ormiston if the red top's decided something is worth going after then it probably would have a significant effect on policy. I think the Sun and News International have more of a final say, but if they turned against Afghanistan than there would be serious wobbles from people in the two main parties. Just like in '92 when the Sun, Mail and Express printed seriously out of context almost lies on Labours taxation policies, and hey presto Lagbour lost a sizable lead; not saying the outcome was wrong just the influence it does have.

Anyways hang Piers Morgan.
I agree Colin that The Sun et al have a major influence on UK politics but in his book Morgan was claiming that as Editor of the ailing Mirror that he was in a position to influence events way beyond our shores.
I doubt that Bush and Cheney were all that concerned about the views of Mirror readers on their Iraqi adventures.
