  • Stephane Valcy was released by Le Havre, he was on the bench for the last Friendly against Lewes.
  • Cheers Dick

He is the guy who looks like Bahebeck and probably was him in Belgium
  • would be surprised if Pope was at Bromley and not Portsmouth

If true about pope then Henderson starts season as no 1
  • Announcer says:

Pope, Osborne, pike, munns, Thomas, lee, cumberbatch, Daniel, pike, valcy
  • Might be some typos but this is the starting team from the announcer.

Pope, Osborne, Pyke, Munns, Thomas, lee, Daniels, cumberbach, Jeffrey, Murray, vulsey

  • 0-0 after 25mins
  • I feel sorry for this unloved match thread :-(
  • Callum Harriot here as a spectator.

    Let the rumours begin.

37 min BFC 1 up after collison between Pope and bromley striker.

Open goal, Brom player still down and Piope protests in vain
  • Pope appeared to drop the ball fopr the goal but not deemed a foul
  • would be surprised if Pope was at Bromley and not Portsmouth

    Oh yeah of little faith
  • I'm appreciating the updates Henry, brilliant team prediction too.
  • Pope made an excellent save and looked quality until he dropped the ball for their goal. Munns is the best player on the pitch by a mile. Him and Harry Osborne in my opinion are the closest to the first team squad. Muldoon may have a career ahead of him. Everybody else look miles from being pro footballers. Our number 8 (Daniel?) is probably the worst player I have seen in a Charlton shirt at any level, ever.
  • Apologies, Cumberbatch was number 8!

I'm getting a bit fed up with these mistakes. (:
  • Ollie Lee with injury time equaliser. He's had a solid game.

    Thanks, I have my sources.
  • Much livelier 2nd half from us and deserved equaliser.y

Muldoon made a difference and we were on the front foot most of 2nd half. Bromley a much bigger and older team so a good work out.

Very harsh to say Daniel is the worst player ever, wasn't great but way OTT.

Pleased to see Aherne-Grant play although it was out wide. beat his full-back a couple of times and looked sharp, fast and skillful.

Valcy didn't too much to impress and no one else stood out.

    Not Pope's best day.

Bromley seem a useful side, huge centre halves and move the ball well. Hope they go up this year.

usual smattering of Lifers in the ground.

hightlights later on the Bromley FC website
  • Agree with previous comment, cumberbatch had a shocking game!! Not many players stood out, osbourne, thomas and lee had good games,Spoke to Harriot, he's picked up a hip injury!

Hmm, unfortuntely not very impressive. Pope looked good apart from the goal. But no one impressed and looked like 1st team contenders. Muldoon was the only one who looked decent & Cumberbatch was appaling. He got the ball 6 times in the 1st half and passed the ball to Bromley or lost possession every time. They shoud have scored twice, but luckily were clueless up front. Sorry for the poor review, but that's what happened.

Harriott was injured so did not travel to Pompey

    You make me laugh Colin.

People have already said that as they spoke to Harriot at the game but you still have to pretend you have a "source"
  • An awful lot of people do around this time on a Saturday night...
  • Very poor show from us. Bromley played well and created at least half-a-dozen excellent chances, scored in the first half after a bad mix-up between Pope and the defence, and had the ball in the net in the second half: ruled offside.

Did we manage a shot on target until Lee's injury-time equaliser? Our players are peripheral: they have poor ball control and are physically slight - no physical presence. The attacking moves were ponderous and the shooting was wayward.

The one redeeming feature was Oliver Muldoon, who came on for the second half, made space in midfield, passed and moved, and got forward in to the box.
  • Viewfinder, for the first time ever, I agree with every word you said.
  • Pope was fouled for the goal!!!
