Interesting. Not getting in the race might be a bigger problem though!
Had a good look at Whisky Sour. Concern was that best runs been at Galway which is quite an unique undulating track. Dead flat, galloping track at York going to suit?
Was umming and aaaahing at 20s. 8s? No thanks.
Keep coming back to Crowned Eagle at moment. Unexposed at trip but should get it on pedigree and been finishing races off well over 1m4f. Flat track and big field suits him (112 under such conditions). Can he win off 107? Going to have to be 115+ probably but that's not unrealistic. 14s/16s seemed fair I thought.
Draw a factor...you want to be high. So probably best waiting for the day and having all info to hand!
Got Angels Hideaway at 6s before decs. Was almost always going to run, so seeing it immediately come in to 2s was lovely. Initial thoughts:
2.25 - Kodyanna @ 15/2, will keep an eye on Secret Venture 14/1
3.00 - Afaak @ 5/1, and Sea Fox @ 22/1 for a typically PaddyP17 dirty each way (had a delicious e/w double on the Friday at Goodwood at big prices, both placed, looking same today please)
3.35 - Bob, you're probably right, but I prefer the value in Laurens @ 10/3
4.15 - Snow Wind e/w @ 14/1. (Might do a Lah Ti Dar/Sea of Class double though)
4.50 - Shall go with Bob on Victory Wave @ 9/1, though Homeopathic @ 18/1 interests me.
Would probably have an e/w L15 on those in double digit prices; an L15 on Kodyanna/Afaak/Laurens/Victory Wave; and a favs treble or trixie on Angels Hideaway/Sea of Class/Lah Ti Dar.
To be fair though, RL Moore rode very very well on Fairyland. Nabbed the rail, which means Angel's Hideaway - who hangs right under pressure - had to go to the left to get out, and thus was nullified.

All is not right with the favourite.
