@CAFCsayer can see prices now, anyone considering taking on big orange.
Exchange between myself and my mate:
Him: I'll be taking on big orange in the goodwood cup with US Army Ranger @ 16/1
I actually think USAR is the bet of the week at the current prices
I was very taken with how strongly US Army Ranger travelled at Ascot. The furthest he had gone before then he was 1m5f, where he was getting done for speed by high class horses like Highland Reel and Almanzor. AOB then sent him to Ascot over 2m5f where he travelled very powerfully all the way to the finish. I think 2m is going to be absolutely perfect trip for this horse. Coolmore are not sending Order Of St George and R Moore will represent Aidan O'Brien on US Army Ranger. 16/1 could be absolutely huge
16's has just gone 12's
Me: Big Orange is my favourite horse - so much heart, such a fun horse to watch
Sentimental reasons mean I'm loath to oppose but USAR as you say at even 12s looks value
I'm curious as to whether he'd be able to find extra at the end though - strong travel doesn't necessarily mean more than just that
Maybe a front/prominent run could help but that's a massive risk
-------------------------
- I love Sheikhzayedroad too, but not quite sure he's got the class. At the prices though, might well be worth having singles on him and USAR, while rolling up Big Orange in a treble with Winter (form franked by Roly Poly) and Ribchester (general beast).
- Defo worth having Winter/Ribchester as a double
- Marsha in the Qatar King George on Friday at 5s or 6s depending on where you go is "laughably good"
- Cardsharp in the Qatar Richmond on Thursday at 3/1 is still a good bet, and putting Cardsharp and Marsha together is a big tempter
- USAR is now at 10s for tomorrow, in some places vs Big Orange, and I reckon that's not the worst shout given the withdrawal of Dal Harraild
skybet handily loaded my account up with free bets so shall play with them.

The Value Bet column on Sporting Life. It's been a consistent winner - especially on the flat - for the last two/three years. There's a record breakdown.

Just a few thoughts.
Haven't done that much research into Goodwood, mind, so I'd follow Hugh Taylor, Ben Linfoot, and my mates over at http://2ptsw.in
1.50 - Murad Khan, 1pt win @ 9/1 (**Ben Linfoot tips Oasis Fantasy, Hugh Taylor tips Tha'ir)
2.25 - Zaman, 1pt win @ 10/1
3.00 - Home of the Brave, 1pt win @ 7/1
3.35 - Sheikhzayedroad, 0.75pts e/w @ 12/1 (though I love Big Orange)
4.10 - no idea, but I'm guessing Princely @ 18s (0.5pts e/w) because RL Moore
4.45 - Boom the Groom, 1pt win @ 13/2
5.15 - Al Nafoorah, 0.75pts e/w @ 14/1 (Hugh Taylor)
Other shouts:
Oasis Fantasy 1.50 @ 12/1 (Ben Linfoot)
Stormy Atlantic (2ptswin) 3.00 @ 25/1
