Only option really. More than likely based abroad but the English is better than most. Sorry to get political but frauds like this costs the UK economy 3x as much as benefit fraud but the government keeps cutting those services designed to combat it so pretty much open season for scammers sadly.
  • Did you apply for a security guard role with this firm?

I applied for various Security roles about 7/8months ago. This firm looks to be completely made up, they may have snitched my email address connected to security jobs via gumtree or something. Dont even have my name, im, "successful applicant"
  • Have you called the number?

note it is an outer London number but the scam wording mentions Inner London office.

If this is a scam to get 50 quid from those seeking work, it really is the lowest of the low. Total scum preying on the vulnerable. ...advice given before on this site that you should never part with cash in order to work should be followed

Considering some of those targeted will no doubt be big burly geezers, I hope a come up pence is swift and painful
  • Not going to bother calling the number though about to paste into google.
  • Complete scum.
  • Seems legit
  • Missed out a ;) apologies
  • One more warning is that however tempted you may be to give them some back by email do NOT. All that does is provide confirmation that the account is active and before you know it they've sold that info on and you're spammed by every one of them from Nigeria to Australia. Just report it and...er...move on.

not my strong point (if youve seen my chris powell posts)
  • Apparently you're not allowed to comment on this sort of thing unless you work in the industry. They're not scams, just misunderstood people.
  • Still the only thing good that comes from these is this brilliant website www.419eater.com
