Glorious, undisturbed sleep last night. Would liked to have seen it though :( Looks like we might get some more storms this weekend

Was half asleep as the biggest bang of lightening bolt must have shot in the sky at 3am. Made me jump...right out of bed!

That web link is quality Swiss.

Its all going off at Northampton

Yeah, so much better than the link I posted TWO HOURS PREVIOUSLY

Sometimes Dan, you can be so hurtful............................... :-(

I was sitting here chatting to my brother on skype last night and could hear it coming over loud & clear at his end down in Worthing. We then ended up watching it moving ever closer to the coast on this http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=en

Left the car roof open last night, felt a right plum running out and shutting it at 1.30. Couldnt have been out there for more than a minute, but came back drenched. Was convinced I'd be struck by lightning while I was doing it.

I was in Bookham, Surrey. Best storm I have ever seen. I saw the telephone exchange get hit by lightning.

According to that website If I had been 20 metres down the road, outside and on top of my neighbours house I'd be dead right now.

Looking at the lightningmaps website - it seems to show an awful lot of strikes.
    Were there really that many?

It must of stayed south of the river as I didn't hear a thing.

I fell asleep with the skylight above my bed wide open to let cool air in.

I was woken up by being rained on in my own bed.

With all the panic and wetness, watching me desperately trying to shut the sky light above my bed must have looked like a scene from Titanic.

    The best ever.

I have had about 500 Palace fans singing about how much more noise they make than Beckenham Town for the last hour. Then it rained. HARD. They all ran off getting wet.
