Makes sense again if you look at the long term business side of it, i hope these actions will reassure some of you that he's not in it for the fast payday - it remains a payday in the end but first he wants to build a club that has a stable revenue, matchday attendance and solid league positioning. I know its hard to take for the romantics amongst you ( i'd say us as football fans in general) but lowering the ticket prices to improve atmosphere and attendance is not something you come across a lot. it takes a long time vision and a slight financial risk to take these kinds of deciscions
For a Spurs fan you seem very knowledgeable about Roland's business strategy and long term vision.
As a belgian, football fan and a degree in sports marketing + communications its something i'm following closely indeed

And unfortunately as a Spurs fan i am very familiar with a president/owner that treats football like a business, at least RD seems to want to appease the fans a bit (not out of the kindness of his heart but to earn money in the long run)

And I thank you for any insight or Liege history lessons you can share. Some seem to think that running a football club is done using a random number generator as opposed to a strategy, forecasts, budgets and managers (on and off the pitch) held to account.

Blackpool fans could argue that their club is certainly run that way ...
One thing we are forgetting is more fans through the door means more revenue in terms of spending in the ground.. buying a programme beers food etc..
It's bee n mentioned a few times before by those in the know that the incremental revenue from ancillary sales is quite low .. Something like a couple of quid ... And, that's before costs
