Is there a chance this book will be released electronically? (Kindle / Google Play Books?)
It's not impossible, but my experiments in that direction haven't been very encouraging. It's not something I am planning to do in the near future, but I haven't ruled it out entirely.
"The final climatic events" had nowt to do with the weather. I don't blame the reviewer, more likely the News Shopper, which once amended my 'elegiac' to 'elegant'. Shurely shome mishtake!
I thoroughly enjoyed Battle for the Valley. As a relative newcomer to London and Charlton Athletic, I found it a great way to be introduced to the history of the club and thought the writer provided a good balance between the finances, the politics and the play on the pitch. Great writing, a great story and his own involvement in the drama was pitched just right. Partisan, yes, but as far as I can read it, fairly played. The book has plenty of photos and it was just a lot of fun to read, getting to know the stories and the characters behind the history. Reading over the past week made me wish the season was starting sooner. Congratulations to Rick for a great summer read.
Proper Charlton (middle aged) had their copies personally dedicated back in 1991....
You'll be telling us next that you have Curbs' book signed by the great man himself.......
I do have both books but Curbs signature is on a signed and dedicated (to me!) photograph. Linking to another post:- my daughter has a shirt signed by Mark Kinsella and Matty Svensson - those were the days!

No mention of e-versions on the website so can't say.
They are postcards and postcard size in case anyone isn't sure but the feedback we've had has been excellent.
Inbox me.
I'm off to pick up some cabinets and something else very special for the museum today but will respond ASAP to any requests.
Battle for The Valley can be bought in the new Welling United shop on Park View Road from today, for those locals keen to save the postage.
I've offered it to the Charlton shop - no response to date.
Excellent, even better than the original. The new material adds a lot. Thoroughly recommended.
