I work for money but I take a lot of pride in my work with a lot of effort which is what I hope and expect from the new signings
Then why does it even matter if a player "plays for the shirt"? I know very few CAFC players are supporters of the club, but they're working for their living like every one of us (except theirs is more extravagant) it's nice when a player developes an affinity with the club, but as long as they fulfil the expectations of their contract then I don't care who/what they "play for"
I would say the vast majority of the working population work to live, rather than live to work. Helps if you get paid to play your favourite sport though :-0
