    Then why does it even matter if a player "plays for the shirt"?
    I know very few CAFC players are supporters of the club, but they're working for their living like every one of us (except theirs is more extravagant) it's nice when a player developes an affinity with the club, but as long as they fulfil the expectations of their contract then I don't care who/what they "play for"
  • I would say the vast majority of the working population work to live, rather than live to work. Helps if you get paid to play your favourite sport though :-0
