It's taken me a long time to contribute to this site after watching for a while. I must admit I have a really good feeling about this guy - reckon he's gonna score a load of goals for us

200-1 top goalscorer this season, tuc-in my man

Hey, all! Just made an account, as I do, trying to keep tabs on promising players going abroad. There were talks about saying George's name correctly so I made an mp3 recording (as a native speaker).

I assume you're gonna want some non-Belgian thoughts on him: still young, a lot to learn; Charlton's a way better place for him than Liege. Likes a fight, gets stuck in, but is selfish in front of goal and has a quick temper. He thinks like a proper ST - goes for the spectaculous, and thus misses a lot, but when it's in...woo! And just to dispel any biases, as far as the local league goes, I'm a fan of one of Dinamo's (where G.T started) biggest rivals, Rapid.

Don't know whether that was deliberate or not, but that is a fecking brilliant word and I'll be using it in conversation whenever possible from now on.

Poor old George! All the buzz about possibly singing Delort has left Gorgeous George in the shadows (A forgotten man before kicking a ball in earnest). Why is this? Has he not impressed in pre-season?
Not saying we don't need another striker nor that it shouldn't be Delort but can't help feeling a bit sorry for him

I havent seen him play yet but have high hopes. As the supposed second striker who will be expected to set up as many for Igor as he scores himself, I am encouraged by seeing a 2 goal return in pre season.

Judging from the comments from those that have seen him, he doesnt seem to be like a fish out of water like the reports on PP suggested last year.

George is a second striker (sheringham style), so bringing in Delort is nothing to do with George. Options at last!

He's had a great first half, scored a good goal, won the pen with some great skill, really put himself about and has shown half a yard of pace too

Looked a class act on SSN - get well soon, George.
  • Really beginning to like Tucudean... He's a fighter and has some skill as he's proven tonight, may not score a lot of goals but could become a cult hero

Dunno why, but (playing style) reminds me a bit of Steve Jones and for that reason, I won't be giving him any money...................Well done George.

He was pointing to his foot and talking to JJ as he walked off at half time.

He had a great first half shame he got injured.
  • What a goal that could have been had not been taken down for the penalty.

Reminds me of Todorov, think he will create a lot more than he scores, but still capable of getting between 10 - 15.
  • I thought he showed a few nice bits and pieces on Saturday, just glimpses really , 1st half tonight, i thought the fella was unplayable , if he'd have kept that up for 90 minutes we'd have hammered Derby out of sight.

With the shaved head and way he runs , he could easily pass for a mr.kermorgant!
  • Does George have a song yet ( apart from Club tropicana) ?
  • I thought he was our best player in the first half. I haven't rated him but looked very skillfull last night and his finish was harder than he made it look.

I said after Saturdays game we nearly have a team. My thoughts were if we got a good number 9 to play with Igor we would be there. I stand corrected, we have got a good number 9.

That was a classy, no fuss finish from George, his confidence visibly lifted after that and he won us the penalty. A couple more goals and he will be flying!

I saw George make his debut in Spain when he scored just a few minutes after coming on and also got a goal that was similar to the attempt he tried against Colchester when he went round the goalkeeper only out there he scored. Then saw him at Ebbsfleet and Brentford and thought maybe i had kidded myself and others whom i had told had a chance of making it at cafc. So was chuffed with his first half display last night and really hope he's ok as the confidence he got from the goal was palpable.

pre match interview up on Player.
Whatever his limitations I do like George's one track mind. Win, points, win win , points points, we have to win, we have to get points, the guy expresses commitment to the cause far more than he mentions commitment to himself.
I like his attitude a lot.
