More IT infrastructure investment it seems (took a while to read the IT speak).

Nice one Roland.

  • Hmmmmm.

I hope that their level of service has improved since I had to ditch them about a year ago.

I had countless problems with them from taking ownership of resposibilities to them just forgetting things.

On one occassion I had to go to thier office (just off of Sidcup High Street) as they were not returning my calls.

    Not impressed at all.

Couldn't they find any Belgian IT companies :-)
  • “This is a really exciting project because it presents many new opportunities for the club,” said Charlton’s Chief Commercial Officer Ben Kensell.

That's a shame, Ben Kensell has toned down his business speak from last week's press release with our new caterers. I wanted the words 'strategic', 'commercial' and 'adding value' in there.
  • I simply thought that we got those caterers because they were Ben's old mates from Arsenal, I have not assumed the caterers were a particularly special or unique fit for Charlton.

The IT firm is in Sidcup, and have reportedly been working with Charlton Athletic previously. I am not saying it was the IT system that delivered the wrong season ticket stuff to the wrong people at the wrong addresses though.

    Or was it?

Either way I love IT people because they have a great way of obfuscating, and also making us so dependent. Then they use the two magic words 'just', and 'should'. As in 'you just have to do some incomprehensible thing known to and understood by only one person on the planet'. Which proves to be impossible for mere mortals (did I mention dependence?). Also after xy and z process and effort something should work. Oh yeah, what if it doesn't? Well it should do. But it doesn't. But it SHOULD!

My old dad used to say 'if it ain't there, it can't go wrong'.

    Sweat the asset.
  • "obfuscating"

Love it. You have obviously suffered a touch of the "IT's" on more than one occasion...
