Not sure if a reason has been given, but CAFC Official tweeted we are looking for new opponents following the surprise cancellation of our pre-season friendly at Swindon

Charlton are looking for replacement opponents for Wednesday, July 30th following the sudden cancellation of a planned friendly at Swindon Town.
The two clubs had agreed on the pre-season encounter shortly before it was officially confirmed on www.cafc.co.uk on Monday, June 23rd.
However, around lunchtime on Monday, July 7th the club received a notice from Swindon that they would no longer be able to fulfil the fixture.
Later that afternoon the Robins announced a replacement friendly at home to Leeds United on Tuesday, July 29th.
Charlton would like to apologise to any supporters who had already made plans to travel to the County Ground for the game and have been inconvenienced by the late cancellation.
The club will announce at the earliest opportunity on www.cafc.co.uk if and when a replacement opponent is found.
If that's really the case then they've clearly forgotten us donating our gate receipts to help keep them afloat (and Deano extending our generosity a little too far by donating the points!).

That's a good point but I'm sure if we mentioned that to them they'd argue that we also gave them mcoxo

Wasn't the gate receipts . . . I believe it was the half-time raffle aka Addicks Instant Jackpot.

Cheers for clearing that up Airman; I think my version makes us sound more generous though. Perhaps if we'd made it the entire match takings they wouldn't have pulled the plug!

So they would rather face Leeds than us
If it was never confirmed, why did they feel the need to cancel it, surely that proves it was confirmed
We're booked into a hotel in Salisbury for Weds & Thurs night to take in the Swindon game and maybe the Dorset coast.
They can stick their Magic Roundabout where it hurts now !
