  • Shaun Bartlett was a loan to begin with. In for Lita.
  • Costa, Carson, Smertin, Song, Jacko, Whyte are all good shouts. Other players for consideration:

    Chris Whyte?
    Jason Lee?

  • Chris Perry was also a loan before joining.
  • No place for Gary Borrowdale?

  • Chris Perry was also a loan before joining.

I didn't realise that. He certainly nudges Kernaghan out of the team.
  • Think Dan Seaborne should get a place, great skills he had :-)
  • Carlton Cole?

Version 2 of the Loan Rangers

    Carson

    Mills
    Costa
    Perry
    Jackson M

    Smertin
    Song
    Jackson J
    Sinclair

    David Whyte
    Bartlett
  • Sinclair was not particularly effective for us.

The left winger who had the most initial impact was Kyel Reid, before he signed permantly and was Charltonised.

Anyone think of other wide left players?

Zheng Zhi was also a loan signing (initially).
  • Any takers for David Mooney?
  • Ricky Otto
  • Think Colin Pates was initially a loan deal as well
  • During Curbs time he took a few players on loan before he signed them. bambi on Ice also known as Martin Pringle and one of my fav's was one too. A lot of our loanees were better as loanees than perms.
  • Carson

    D Mills
    Jorge Costa
    Perry
    J Jackson

? - really struggling to think of a right winger.
    Smertin
    Song
    Neil Heaney

    Martin Pringle
    Whyte
  • Sinclairs had a good career but was pony for us - he said the crowd intimidated him, he would have been really useful at Elland Road in 1987.....

John Hendrie should be involved, he only scored only one goal but it gave us our first twin over Millwall for 750 years or so.

Should get a knighthood for that.

  • Right winger ..... Ex Man Utd, Newcastle, and Northern Ireland international winger, Keith Gillespie, 6 appearances for us on loan from Sheff Utd.

Impressive pedigree, bit of a dud for us.

Might have to be Ricky Otto at right wing, as Damo has suggested?
Promised a lot, not much end product, only 7 appearances though.

    Striker... David Whyte

  • Hameur Bouazza 25 apps 4 goals his best ratio in his career at us
  • Danny Mills should be nowhere near this squad, his performances on loan were nothing short of disgraceful, culminating in a dreadful and some would say deliberate red card.

Can someone name a better Right-Back on loan then?

Neither Graeme Murty / Martin Craine lit up the place
  • Butterfield
    Halford

Pretty sure he was on TV chuckling away with Pardew about that.

Play with 10 men rather than give him any credit.

  • Jacko's a great skipper, but I doubt his handful of games on loan at left back warrant his place in Forever Addicted's team.

Who else have we borrowed at left back, apart from Gary Borroweddale?
There was McEverly from Derby in the Parky years, and Federico Bessone; anyone better?

I thought Murty did ok for us

Me too. His inclusion transformed the team.

Very good centre half, but surely Perry and Costa were a notch or two above.
