Oh shit I thought last night was Questions and Answers, sorry I had lots to ask. Next time I night mention how the Toilet roll in the Covered End Bogs hurts my arse when I wipe it.

But tell me, do you normally tell the bog roll how it should be done, before actually proceeding?
[cite]Posted By: AFKA Bartram[/cite]Very confident character, great with an audience, and doesn't suffer fools. Droning bloke asking a question quickly got shot down. Very, very different to a Curbs forum.
i generally think this 'whats said in the meeting, stays in the meeting' is a load of bollox...it implies that things were going to be/were disclosed that shouldn't be whereas the reality is 99% of what's told to an audience is nothing more than what will be generally known by a great deal of people already and reporting those on here shouldn't be a problem...what could be embarrassing would be personal opinions that slip out unintentionally and it would be unfair to air those publicly...what shouldn't be reported and definitely disclosed to an audience in the first place is commercially sensitive information or statements falling into slander/libel...giving it the dont repeat any of this or i wont come back bit at the outset implies something juicy is going to be said but you generally get are a load of funny stories and memory joggers...the request not to post is honoured but i often think repeating what was said on the night would only increase the bloke's/club's standing in the eyes of a wider range of fans...
was anything said about bolanas? i'm going to costa rica in the summer (month trekking etc...) and wondering if i should get a charlton shirt with his name on...
So come on AFKA, what was said last night that cannot possibly be divulged? Nobody's reading this. Come on spill the beans. A whisper will do if you are really concerned.
[cite]Posted By: rhinosvalley[/cite]Im probably going to make myself look a prat here so I apologise for all but just do want to know why there is so much secrecy after an event like this when there is so much promotion for the event in the first place...if there was information they did not want divuldging then surely an event like this would not take place.....I may be in the wrong here which i do apologise for but not everyone here can attend events like this, maybe out of the country or have contact with fellow Lifers so I tend to come on here to find out what has happened...maybe selfish on my part but do wonder why all the build up then all the secrecacy....is it just me ?????
[cite]Posted By: F-Blocker[/cite]The club can't expect to run a Q&A for 350-400 people and keep everything hush hush. It's just never going to happen.
City Addicks, with 50-odd people and Lenny Lawrence completely off-record is another issue entirely.
For those that want a few details, check Frankie Valley's blog from yesterday and today.
Absolutely. I think you're all crackers if you think that it's really all so secret. Any of us who come on here could also equally have gone to the meeting. It's not as if it was a club meeting for employees.
Most of us know someone on here who went to the meeting, who they can ask anyway - if you tell us on here it's just:
1. saving us all phone calls
2. giving a fairer overall summary - relying on one pair of ears (in my case Mr. Large)is more likely to cause the very misrepresentation that you're all so(in your haughtiness if I may say so) afraid of.

I don't remember the evenings events being hailed as a 'Don't let go of the mic' night! :-)
But tell me, do you normally tell the bog roll how it should be done, before actually proceeding?
Its not the bloke that always sits at the front at City Addicks? Grey hair glasses???
An Evening With Alan Pardew anyone?
You weren't in a shop in Beijing covered in Burgers by any chance were you?
yes he was. On loan at the moment and who knows may become permanent in the summer.
Probably ended up as AP's RED Army as it did yet AGAIN on Monday.
IT'S RED AND WHITE- NOT RED!!!
I feel Bolanos was someone Les Reed was tracking - and wouldn't be surprised if he now signed for Fulham..........
But I liked him and with his great first touch and deciseveness thought he would compliment our squad perfectly.
Now what was that Santana tune that mad Costa commentator was singing on the Youtube clip?
They keep saying, like: " Nuffink really, just usual football chat that we all know already........but DON'T tell anyone.
Cos it's SECRET!
