  • Sadly happening way to much these days.
Being soft on crime obviously works. Not.
  • Wtf is the matter with people
  • Scum of the earth
  • Shocking news hope his wife and kids wern't harmed. That said after an experience like that the mental scars can take a long time to heal.
  • As much as I detest Wright with a passion, I wouldnt wish that on him. Hope his big fat wife and kids are ok.

About as much class as I'd expect from a Spurs fan.

  • Absolute disgrace, why is it cool to carry a knife or be part of a gang? Just get educated and find a job, it's not easy I know but this is a horrible way of life.

I was enjoying Wrighty on the beach, he's always full of passion and even though I've grown to dislike the England set-up he always keeps you interested and thinking maybe they can do something.

    Nice.
  • Wtf is the matter with people

Most definitions of the word people say this...

    a body of human beings

I believe there in lies the answer.

Wow some seriously ill chosen words there!
  • Once gave a mate of mines son, who was sharing with his dad, his set of (very expensive) golf clubs as he finished a game at Addington some years ago. Hope you get it sorted Ian.
  • Ok people, enough of the hatred. I admit that was not my wisest move but I did strike out the big fat bit in my defence. Apologies for the offence.

  • I thought he'd split up with his wife and upgraded or did I imagine that?
  • No, he has remarried you're Wright right.

So is the upgrade a downgrade or upgrade
  • I'm not defending the actions of the low lives but, sadly, this is what happens in a society where some have excessive wealth, and presumably don't hide it, and others have very little.

I'm far from a socialist, but I do understand the dilemmas that very poor people have when they see others (and a professional footballer come media personality is an ideal example) that have loads more than they have. I can understand why people ask the question "Why does (s)he deserve to have so much more than me?"

Sadly, I think that as time goes on, we will hear of more and more of these type of incidents. I'm not saying that the likes of Lineker et al don't deserve the money they get paid, but they must realise that there are many people that are jealous of their wealth, and that they are targets.

  • Gotta love Wrighty. Not only did he produce BWP, he was a great player and a true fan as a pundit. Hope he's back out there soon.

Lets not make out these arseholes are Robin Hood.

The organised gang that tied up Mark Fish and his wife, drove flashy cars and had designer clothing. One of the blokes went my school and was in my year, he was just a wrongen. He came from a middle class family as well. They are just opportunist scum.
I wasn't suggesting they are anything other than scum, just that there will always be those that find taking money from the very rich to be easy and rewarding.

I doubt they knew or even cared that it was an ex-footballer's house. They just robbed a house in a well off area.

If they were stealing to feed their starving kids then perhaps I could give them some sympathy but if so go and shoplift food from a supermarket.

But they didn't. They choose to threaten women and children with knives.

Sure some people are jealous of other peoples wealth and there are inequalities in the system that leave some poor and some rich but knife crime like this is not a redistribution of wealth or a blow for the revolution. It is just a nasty, greedy grab for what others have and the criminals want.

I agree with most of that except that I suspect they knew who they were targeting. I mean, Wrighty is on the tele in Brazil - I think they knew it was his house. I agree that they don't care what he did for a living, now or in the past, but my best guess is that they knew who he was, and that he was away.

Just for clarity, I have no sympathy with those that did this, I just don't find it staggeringly surprising, that is all!

Always been a fan of Wrighty - top top bloke.

Yes, perhaps they knew the man of the house was away but I still doubt they cared who he was or how he'd made his money
