I've checked Joyce's Pre-war Player Records, Hugman's Post-war Player Records and Rollin's Soccer at War. I can't find a record for either F Alexander of G Byfield. I guess that either they had a name change or they never made the first team.
yes could be a few non players as dad use to be a runner for the manager ie popping up the corner shop for cigs and papers so could have got others to sign
Also Hobbis, Cullins (Cubbins?) on the first page, P Croker, O'Linn, Shreeves, Phipps, Robinson x 2, Byfield, Hurst on the second page. Quite a collection.
If the museum wants some of the 80s stars I might be able to oblige. Got a solid collection somewhere in dads old garage. Think I saw the book a week or two back.
Who is this company as no mention of them on companies house, no contact details other than some emails? Are they affiliated to any autograph trade bodies? Nobody knows. Sounds like that robot mob we had on the back of our shorts the other year
The SMT claim to want to do things that brings fans together yet ignore what they already have.
Screw the fans or optimise every possible revenue stream? The reality is every business needs to do the latter, and every customer thinks that the former is happening…
I have no issue with this - if people that want to buy signatures or signed items, that’s there choice.
The only issue I would have is if the players were prevented from signing stuff, when asked, for free, as has always been the case.
“Alfie, Alfie, can I have you’re autograph please”
”of course you can son. Scan this QR code and you can download and purchase any number of items with my autograph on it, now off you run you little scamp”.
